Scorching Betrayal

Scorching Betrayal

His reaction was a mix of horror and complete astonishment. He stared at the terrifying figure from head to toe with his eyes wide open. Then, he began to become defensive and yelped, "Amaranth, where did you get something like this? You’re scaring me! You win, you win! I give up. Are you happy now? I promise to forgive you if you drop the act and come out now!" However, the only thing resembling a response was the suffocating air circulating inside the morgue. He listened to his voice echo inside the claustrophobic space.

SCORNED EX-WIFE: She Strikes Back!

he spoke up, his tone dangerously calm as he hesitantly took his hand. Roland beamed. "Thank you, sir," he turned to shake Seth, but the look on Seth's face made him change his mind quickly. He only bowed and took a seat. Seth clenched and unclenched his fists as he stared at Roland with nothing but pure hatred in his gaze. He wanted to beat this dude up so bad. "So, you're Roland Hills who designed the RX9 model, right?" he asked, and Roland nodded with smiles all over his face. Aiden couldn't wait to wipe that smile off his face. "Tell me all about it," he requested and Roland launched into everything about the model.

Scars of Silence(MxM)

Scars of Silence(MxM)

"Even when the request is for visual context of a non-existent anomaly." A faint, dry chuckle escaped him. The sound was so rare, so unexpected, it sent a shiver down my spine. "The anomaly was inspired. Russo spent twenty minutes squinting at the scan before he brought it to me, muttering about refraction and shadows." He paused. "He's loyal. Discreet. He won't ask questions." That was as close to a 'thank you for the risk' as I would get. And it was enough. Another stretch of silence. The first stars began to prick through the velvet sky.

Ghost Sniper

“Thanks. So what do we have here?” Bryan asked his partner, who pointed at one of the eight frames on the laptop screen, which was relaying the live feeds of hidden cameras that were set up in strategic places around the harbor. Looking at the screen, he saw three Latinos unloading some crates from a speed boat at the pier. From where the boat was, there was an open space about half the size of a football field, which was surrounded by shipping containers that were stacked on one another. Looking closer, he saw that each of the men had viper tattoos on different parts of their body.

Slightly Lazy, Evil, Carefree Cultivator (Book 1)

She was a great assist to his emotions and his mind. Something he would need as he went down the path of a Silent Killer. Zero had caught up with the member of The Scorpion King Sect. Observing as the man did a few gestures and entered into a cabin deep in the woods. Not wanting to just leave the target and go report back, the young cultivator went to observe closer. Zero would have been ok if he would have just reported back like he was supposed to. But thinking about how the opposing cultivator was hired to kill him as well as his friends did not sit well.

she said, finding my confused gaze again. "Aaron? But their nests are impossible to find. Not unless... light have mercy," I said, feeling like I'd been punched in the chest. "We're gonna go," Lills mumbled, getting to her feet. I nodded, too lost for words to find the one's that would make her stay. Scorchers were dangerous, a militia that stood outside the rules and laws the rest of us lived by. They were those who'd committed their lives to the destruction of every non human creature beyond the borders of the Diarna, the furthest mining town in the south. They married their work and bred for numbers. They were smart, strong and loyal to a fault and would rather see our entire world blaze

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

A gigantic, worm-like salt scorpion, whose tank consisted of thick, crystallised salt layers, which were in the light of our Headlights like diamonds sparkled. His huge scissors crawled with the Noise of rolling stone, and his tail ended in a sharpened Stack of pure carbon steel – the remnant of an old wreck that the animal in had integrated his body. The beast struck a deep, inaudible infrasound loop, which the front discs the steel coil trembled, and held directly on our flank. Kael pulled his kinetic rifle off his back and a wild, unwavering smile lay on his lips. “Welcome in the deep sea, Jada. Let us show them that our

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

"You know about this thing?" The Red Eye King Scorpion charged at them. Yvette was the closest to it; she was swept by its tail and bounced into the air. Bang! She hit the stone wall before she landed on the ground. She vomited a mouthful of blood; her face was pale. "Are you alright?" Darryl asked. He did not expect to see such a giant scorpion. That hit even seemed effortless. Yvette coughed; she was seriously injured. She said hurriedly, "It's the Red Eye King Scorpion. It only appears in ancient tombs and is extremely poisonous. Due to its long duration in the tomb, it will attack any human that it sees. Be careful!"

The Siren's Scion

The Siren's Scion

The corrupting energy washed over him, and he cried out, collapsing to his knees. It couldn't harm him as it harmed me, but he felt it—a soul-deep chill, a violation that stole his breath. His intervention disrupted the beam's focus. The tether to me wavered, its grip loosening. Elara didn't scream. She moved with a ferocity I didn't know she possessed. Her eyes, clear and sharp with a lucid fury, spotted the obsidian dagger where it had fallen. She lunged, her bandaged hand closing around the hilt.

Venom

All what he had learnt from his father’s notes, all what he had thought himself would finally show. He got his device and filled it with a total of five bottles. “What do they do?” Karou asked. “I specialize in all types of poisons and toxins. You can’t have that in a real gun so I had to manufacture my own kind of weapons”. “Looks fancy” Megumi said. The needle came out and he pierced the first guy in the neck and went over to rest. Needles changed of course. He was in a gang, his sense of hygiene didn’t have to go with it. He had already put that factor in his gun to change the needles with every dose.
