The Don’s Dangerous Addiction

The Don’s Dangerous Addiction

The rear door, unable to fully close in the rush, swung wildly with the vehicle's violent acceleration. Avery launched herself forward. Like a mother driven mad, she threw herself onto the rear step of the speeding van. Physical pain seemed to have been severed entirely by maternal instinct. Her ten fingers dug into the narrow gap of the door, barely half an inch wide. Inside the cargo hold, a scar-faced man hunched over the communicator grabbed his radio. "—Yes, Mr. D. The direct derivative sample of Subject 047 has been secured. No damage to the specimen." *047.*

Patient 42

Patient 42

Sirens in the distance wailed—and then abruptly stopped. Jack tightened his grip on the wheel. “They’re rerouting emergency services,” Vesper said. “Great.” “You have about fifteen minutes before a drone picks up your license plate.” Jack cursed. “You some kind of hacker?” “No. Just observant.” She winced. “You have anything to drink?” “Glovebox. Water bottle.” She sipped. “Thanks.” He eyed her ID band again. SUBJECT 42. Skin discolored under it. “How long were you down there?”

Caution to the wind

Caution to the wind

she said, voice steady. Mara guided her to a workbench where spare scramblers, headsets, and a rugged laptop awaited. “First step: choose a non-standard frequency. We can’t use the usual 2.4–2.5 GHz band. Set this to 4.8 GHz.” Artemis nodded and turned the dial, instinctively recalling similar numeric offsets she’d used in code obfuscation. The LED blinked: 4.8 GHz. “Got it,” she murmured. Mara's approving nod felt like a reward in this unfamiliar field. “Next: encryption seed.” Mara tapped the laptop, generating a random key: “Foxtrot-42.” On the screen, hex strings danced. “Enter that on the keypad—exactly.”

CEREBUS

CEREBUS

Level 2 — Surveillance Control Operators shouted across consoles, their eyes on security feeds. “Sector Four breach!” “She’s with it—some girl!” “That’s no girl. That’s Carson’s kid. The one who raised it.” One soldier barked into a comm: “Orders? Terminate both?” Static. Then a voice replied, grim and clipped: “Negative. The Chimera protocol is priority. Do not engage unless necessary.” The guards hesitated — but hesitation didn’t save them.

"Look at you, all eager to please. You didn't even offer anything in return. Why would she help you out?" He then handed me a card. "I'm Daniel Jenkins. Here's a little something for our first meeting. ZenWave's beauty clinics are all part of my family business. With this card, you can enjoy unlimited visits." ZenWave was a well-known, high-end beauty clinic chain. A single visit there could cost tens of thousands of dollars. This gift was too generous. I didn't take the card, but Leon snatched it from Daniel's hand and stuffed it into mine.

Humanity's Last Resort

Humanity's Last Resort

“Hello everyone. My name is Joleena, and I’ll be your guide for today. I just want to give a few reminders before we go in. Please don’t touch anything. There will be absolutely no flash photography. Everything in there is exactly the way they left it. Lunch will be at noon and after that I will allow you to explore freely.” Joleena turned around and walked to the door. There was a keypad under the handle. Francis watched the numbers get punched in and memorized them. “0,4,1,6,2,8” He noticed something unusual about them. They represented a date. Today’s date. April 16th, 2028. He leaned over to Chris and whispered, “Hey. I just watched her put a code in the door.” Chris whispered back, “So.

His Betrothed

His Betrothed

I bit my lip, anxious whether Jean is okay right now. "Sir!" I hear one of my men say as he goes into the room, holding a bloody phone in his hand. "We managed to catch one of them. This is the best we could find. We believe he has direct contact with his boss. The passcode is 248320,"

This book has some very abusive and upsetting scenes in it. if you are someone who doesn’t like that sort of story I do not recommend reading. The writer provided warning before the chapter. I’m fully invested now and look forward to hopefully a happy ended or he gets what he deserves! :)

My Doctor True Mate

My Doctor True Mate

April I look up from my documents, acting as if I could concentrate on them over my raging heartbeat. The lycan steps in after Scott, who keeps spewing facts about the pack and his warriors. It looks like the lycan has to even bend down a little bit to fit through the door, but I might be hallucinating. “This is the miracle doctor I was talking to you about.” Scott lifts his arm, gesturing towards me. “April Foster. That’s General Alastor.”

I just posted a note with a PSA. I had to take a longer break from this book because of health issues, but it isn’t abandoned and updates will continue in January 2026! Thank you for reading and your patience!

Aegis Group

Aegis Group

Between this morning and all the crap he was doing tonight, he was feeling the toll on his body. Scott pulled the armchair over, under the other vent, and went through the same routine. The screws were too tight. The equipment was gone. Vanished. In the living room. The bedroom. The kitchen. And the fucking office. The office was worse, because not only were the camera and microphone gone, but so was the transmitter. What the hell had happened? He pulled out his phone and hit the icon for his contact at Good Global. The line never even rang. "The number you have dialed has been disconnected-"
