Mom always said my entire life ran on luck. When I ranked first in my class, she said, "You just guessed really well." When I won a gold medal, she said, "The judges must've been blind." When I got into Westridge University, she told everyone, "This kid has no real ability, just good luck!" So on my first day of college, she tossed me a book of scratch cards. "Since your luck's so good anyway, might as well let it handle your living expenses too. "You get one book per semester. However much you scratch off is all you get. "And just so you can't come crying to me about being broke, I'm blocking you now. I'll add you back next semester." With that, she ignored every one of my desperate pleas and blocked me on every single platform. I wanted to cry but could not even manage tears. All I could do was scratch two cards every day. On good days, I would win 20 to 50 dollars. Most days, I won absolutely nothing. I survived by sneaking expired cookies out of my roommates' trash. By the last week of the semester, I had developed severe anemia. As I used every ounce of strength to scratch the final card, I laughed. Mom was right. My luck really was incredible.

At my eighteenth birthday celebration, my cousin gave me a half-scratched lottery ticket as a coming-of-age gift. When he realized I'd won twenty dollars, he suddenly demanded to buy the ticket from me for two hundred thousand. Something about it felt wrong, and I refused. Then he snapped. The Last Call of Order is a teen fiction novel. The story took place at Urbama or as others call it- the city of crimes, where numerous crimes happen within the day but invisible to the public. A young boy, Xyler Darkenlor who mysteriously killed his mother was abducted. For an unknown reason, he was chosen to enter an institute where he was trained at a young age to be an Arial, the highest position in the killing chamber. To be accepted, he was let to pick a code name Niko which then he uses to forget his name. Niko receives order from his superiors in the chamber. They are being paid high for every completion of one mission. In one mission, he met Reca a highschool student who was shifting as a counter lady in one restaurant. He was intimiced by her beauty and ended up having relationship with her hiding his real identity. In a short period of time, Niko learned that Reca was actually the daughter of an ambassador that is currently involved in the order given by his superior, Kana. He was ordered the next day to kill her.

After falling head over heels for Joe Smith for three years, I finally got the proposal I had been waiting for. My heart sinks at Dexter's observations. I quickly flip over my laptop and take a look at it. It's true that there are two fresh scratches near the laptop's vent. The edge of the casing was slightly jutted upward as well. The sight leaves me shell-shocked. The thing is, my laptop was still fine when my cousin, Joe Clinton, borrowed it from me three months ago…
