Grip tilted his head on the side like a gangster. He slowly walked toward the demon while dragging his scythe against the reinforced concrete floor. He was holding the scythe lightly but it encraved a deep line on the concrete. He swung his scythe forward and jumped in the air. He vanished and reappeared in front of the last head on the right. He disappeared again and showed up behind her landing on his feet. I waited. “Nothing happened, fool!” She laughed not until one of her ears dropped on the ground and turned to ashes.

"The systems are connected. There's no mistake. She passed away in a hospital just a few kilometers from your house. Four days ago. Aren't you her husband? Why are you only looking for her now?" That sentence hit everyone like a hammer to the chest. Dead? David's legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground. Thomas stood stiffly in place, murmuring, "Her phone was off… because… she's already gone…" "Who did this to her?!" Marlene lunged forward, grabbing the officer's arm, her voice breaking. The executioners.” I spun the scythe, the blade gleaming. “Still, I think I’m at an advantage.” “Kill him!” ordered the white-haired elder. The guards advanced. The first died before taking two steps. My scythe cut through the air in a violet arc, and he fell, his chest open. The second tried to flank me, but my tail intercepted him, the arrowhead point burying in his eye. The third raised a crossbow with silver darts, I dodged the first dart, the second, and on the third I threw my scythe, which spun in the air and buried itself in his chest.

The cold metal sung as it sliced through the air, a heartbeat from my flesh- “There,” he said softly. I felt the blade kiss my skin, light as a feather, and then its touch disappeared. Reeling, I opened my eyes and gazed up at him in terror. The scythe was gone. His chthonic laughter shook the ground like disembodied thunder. I collapsed to my hands and knees. “This isn't funny at all,” I sobbed. Tears burned my eyes. I wiped snot from my nose. “You're heartless and sadistic.”

Rei took a few steps closer to Troy and Briar. A low to the ground mist started curling around Scythe until it manifested a scythe like weapon with incredible reach.
