Sean And Catherine On The Bachelor Novels & Stories

“Is Killian coming with us?” “Not this time, honey,” I answered carefully. “It’s going to be just us and Auntie Hannah.” I expected him to question me more, but he was too excited about the prospect of going to his favorite amusement park to bother. As he yawned and listed off everything he wanted to do once we got there, I tried not to let the guilt bury me alive. *** Catherine’s helper was punctual. The man named Sean knocked on my door right on time, just as she’d promised me. He was imposing, handsome in a cruel sort of way, with eyes so dark that they seemed endless.

tw: violence and abuse.' Catherine's POV My stomach coiled as we stepped out of the vehicle. After he finally released my chin back at the hotel room, I'd been ordered to pack my things immediately and head straight to the airplane hangar. The other wives were already waiting inside the jet. The wedding had been ruined for all of us.

"Oh really?" "Yeah babe, he's wealthy... He's a big shot, ranking first in the most eligible bachelors in most magazines. Can't you see Catherine, he's single, hot, he's so cute too, he's the Lord of this fucking city, just imagine the kind of privilege that comes with being his woman!" She said excitedly and stopped to shake me but I just slapped her hand away with a smile. "You're crazy, Natty, you're really crazy," I muttered and she just rolled her eyes before slapping her head.

If this thing got out, they would be in big trouble. * * * At the same time, a woman named Charlotte saw the news at the Rollins' house. "Mom!" She showed the newspaper to Catherine who was standing next to her, "Do you think Sean really has a lover?" Catherine was stunned. "How is that possible? He hasn't even looked at you, how could he have a girlfriend if it wasn't you. Indeed who is more beautiful and graceful than my daughter?" "But he shops for women's needs. For whom else would he shop if not for his girlfriend?"

Catherine shook her head firmly. “Darling…” Shaun held her hand gloomily. “Today is our engagement and wedding day…” “I didn’t say I’m not going to accompany you. We can do it after Suzie and Lucas fall asleep at night…” Catherine lifted her long eyelashes. Under the street lights, one could see that her face was flushed red from the alcohol. “We’re different from Freya and Ryan. Their relationship is secretive. They still behave like siblings in The Lodge…” Shaun said helplessly, “Ahem. I just want to have a change of environment for novelty…”

“This is Ava Bennett.” Every eye turned to me. My breath caught, but I forced myself to stand still. “She is my fiancée.” The words hit harder than I expected. Fiancée. Even though I knew it was part of the deal, hearing him say it out loud made it feel real in a way I hadn’t prepared for. “Miss Bennett,” a reporter called, “how did you and Mr. Vale meet?” I froze. My mind went blank. Ethan’s voice cut in smoothly. “We prefer to keep certain details private.”

She smiled at me waiting for my response. "My name is Catherine, Catherine Shawn." "What a lovely name, please have your seat." "Thank you." I responded sweetly, the smile on my face never seemed to end. "I see you have a fine taste." Eunice said to Adam, as she wiggled her brow at him. "Yes grandma, she is the best." Said Adam as he looked at me endearingly, holding my hand in his which unknowingly brought his grandmother's attention to my finger. "Hold on a minute," a frown settled in her face, making her wrinkles obvious. "Where is my future daughter in-law's engagement ring?"

“Wife? You said he wasn’t married?” My mom shook her head, her eyes not leaving the people on the stage. “You of all people should know that I don’t give false news. If he is truly married, then why are there loud murmurs? The rich definitely know how to play dirty. I’m sure this is just an act. It has to be.” A man in a grey suit walked up the stage and handed Shawn an envelope. He let go of his hand on Cassie’s waist and accepted the envelope which he subsequently handed to Don Travous.

From the second floor I could see the circular drive clearly—a sleek black Rolls-Royce Phantom idling,as its door opened,a man stepped out. My breath caught that instant. I knew that face. ”Alexander Martinez” ,the new managing partner of Kessler & Hale as of last week at the partners conference,my high school boyfriend and apparently now,Laura’s fiancée?

If it were up to her, she wouldn’t let him go. After a fake pleasantry exchange, there was a brief silence. “I’ve missed you so much Cathy, was that your boyfriend?” Brie asked. “No, he isn’t,” she said. “Then who is he and why’d you come together?” she insisted. “Okay, today is not about me, lets focus on the happy couple,” she attempted to divert attention. “No, Cathy, tell us. Did you finally get over Tom?” Adam said, purposely to irritate her. Catherine felt a familiar heat in her chest and a churning sensation in her stomach. She knew the feeling all too well.
