They reached the summit after what felt like hours of treacherous climbing. The wind screamed around them as they stepped into a massive, open clearing, where the sky above was a deep, blood-red hue—the color of the Blood Moon, casting an eerie glow over the land. In the center of the clearing stood a stone altar, ancient and worn, with strange runes carved into its surface.
Erin paused at the edge of the altar, her silver eyes scanning the area with a mix of curiosity and wariness. "This is it, isn’t it?" she murmured, her voice barely audible over the wind. "The place where it all begins."
