Playing with the Enemy
I was in the building at the time; it wasn’t the cops.
The following evening, Jayden came back.
==========
Jayden’s POV.
I drove seven hours, changed vehicles twice, then got on my bike and rode the next four hours with just me and the asphalt.
By the time I got to my destination, I was beat. Physically and mentally exhausted.
I rode quietly up to my cabin. A place I went to three or four times a year. It was a large cabin beside the grand lake. Seven rooms, all en-suite.
A team cleaned the location once a month. Both of dust and dirt, and of bugs and wire taps. Currently, it was vacant.
