"Thank you," Caesar said with a smile, before heading toward the stairwell.
Luckily, Sheila’s apartment was on the third floor. Though he could have easily climbed to the tenth floor, the building's top level, he was grateful for the shorter hike. Her apartment was second to last down the hallway, and he headed over, already hearing music spilling from inside.
He pressed the doorbell, and within moments, Sheila herself answered, holding a red plastic cup and waving him in.
