Secret Arrangements Novels & Stories

he said directly. "Why so much damn secrecy?" I questioned despite being on the brink of losing my damn mind. And if I was wrong in saying too much. "Let's just say we have a Code F in progress..." I squinted my eyes because I had forgotten what the damn Code F meant until a flash of mental clarity reminded me that it was a key code, we used to describe the fact that someone very close was not only listening and selling information to the enemy but could be a potential aggressor in the process.

It was a risky endeavor, but we knew that obtaining those documents would be a game-changer. We arranged a clandestine meeting, shrouded in secrecy and held under the cover of night. With our trusted allies by our side, we ventured to the undisclosed location, our hearts pounding with anticipation. The whistleblower, hidden behind a mask, handed us a folder containing the classified information—a treasure trove of evidence that would send shockwaves through society.

“Inside each envelope is a little… secret. Something scandalous, something intriguing. Your job is to uncover as many as you can while keeping your own hidden.” A few gasps. A few chuckles. And then an undeniable spark of interest spread through the room like wildfire. People loved secrets—especially when they weren’t their own. “You can trade information, strike deals, set traps, but be careful,” Charles continued, his grin widening. “Because if your own secret gets out… well, let’s just say, it won’t be pretty.” Lila practically glowed beside him, the queen of her own little kingdom of drama. Maya leaned in, whispering something to her that made them both laugh.

I said finally, as Joseph packed up his wedding notebooks back into the filing shelves. “Actually, there was another reason I wanted to talk to you here today.” joseph said slowly, glancing behind us like he was worried someone else might have wandered into the shop despite the Closed sign posted on the back of the door. “What is it?” “Follow me,” he said, waving me on. I remembered the route taking us to the secret office space behind the shop, where we had met before with Caleb as well. When Joseph sat down and logged into his computer, the several monitor screens all exploded into light, revealing a series of documents and images with CLASSIFIED watermarks printed across them.

It took three seconds to load. His blood went cold. It was an old internal memorandum. Dated fifteen years ago. Anderson Global letterhead. Signed by his father. But not about financial misconduct. About a confidential acquisition. A land deal. Buried subsidiaries. And one line circled in red: “Project Aeternum must remain undisclosed. Civilian exposure unacceptable.” Lewis stared at it. He had never seen this before. His father had never mentioned it. And at the bottom A handwritten note. Not his father’s handwriting.

“We’ve proven that change is possible. Now it’s time to ensure it’s sustainable.” --- The Unveiling of Secrets Later that day, as Ayesha organized files in the library, she stumbled upon an old, dusty journal tucked away behind the bookshelves. Curiosity piqued, she opened it and began to read. The journal belonged to Arman’s late father and detailed the struggles he had faced building the family business. But as Ayesha read further, she discovered cryptic entries hinting at long-buried secrets—deals made in desperation, alliances forged in the shadows.

I'll go through the files later, what's inside this drive could be more important than all of them. There was a single folder in the drive with the name "FALCON.GRP SECRET INFORMATION" My heart was already pounding like crazy as soon as I read it and I already knew that I was not gonna like what I'm about to see. I clicked on the folder and two files appeared, both listed as EVIDENCE MATERIAL 1 and EVIDENCE MATERIAL 2. I swallowed down the tight knot forming in my throat and clicked on the first file. THIS INFORMATION IS HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL!

If Merlin was the mole, which circumstantial evidence pointed to then, she’d have to inform the rest so they could plan his demise. Erik’s secretary informed her that he had visited the EducationForAll foundation to offer his remarks for the great work teachers beyond borders have done in developing countries in cooperation with the UN. Alyssa said she’d wait for him in his office and entered taking a seat. Nobody denied her. Partially because she knew the secrets of everyone in the White House. She had ultimate security clearance. Endorsed in her thoughts, she looked at the room around her. Erik was a clean organized man. His pens were color coded in different cases and his desk was cared f

he got something out of his pocket and handed it to her. "What is it?" Maria frowned her eyebrows, looking at the SD card in her hand. "All the information regarding their gang, well... you can say that I acted on your advice alone and went behind him to their secret hideout. I found many things and all the evidence are in there." Maria's eyes widened in amusement, she had something very important in her hand now. "See you soon, the future General, hopefully." he smiled and left the place. Maria looked at Dean's back with stars in her eyes, it indeed does not take long to change opinion about someone.

he pursed his lips, narrowing his eyes at me, "have I met you before?" "Who? Me? No, of course not." I scoffed. There was just no way he could've seen me, could he? I made sure to keep my face hidden from him that day, in the cemetery. I couldn't risk anyone knowing who I was or how I was related to Alessio, it would put me and him as well as everyone he cared about in grave danger. I had my own enemies and they had theirs. Mine would give anything to hurt someone I care about. Unfortunately for them, they have no idea who I care about because according to them, I don't have anyone.
