But I still couldn't give away my heart to him so easily. My heart thumped inside my ribcage as I twisted the knob of his door and surprisingly it was open. I entered the dark room which has only the moonlight as its light source. The vampire world isn't exposed to the sunlight but it's not scary dark here. It's minimalistic and a good kinda dark. My gaze turned towards the bed where it was empty. The bedsheets crumbled and the pillows set nicely on the bed. I took a step forward and a cold hand wrapped around my waist pulling me into a hard surface. The familiar scent spread around me.

“I found this book outside. It has all the answers.” I furrow my eyebrows together. “What are you talking about, Alex?” His attention turns back to the weathered book in his hands. He flips through the pages until he finds the one he’s looking for. “Look at this.” He hands the book to me. I scan the words, latching onto the ones at the very top. How To Kill A Vampire. Scarlet stared at the space she had once filled, feeling, in spite of herself, a profound sense of loss. He looked at her, eyes stared widely at the half filled glass with no ice. His eyes moved past her tired eyes and studied the room. The shelf that was at his right was filled with books that were arranged according to the genre and most of them were fictional, thriller and horror novels whose seal hadn't been opened and only seemed to collect dust. The others were based on psychology, anatomy and various poisons. He felt more anxious than before.
