In her place hovered a figure made entirely of black fire, its form vaguely human but faceless, the voice booming through the sky. “The vessel has fallen. The Queen is mine.” Adrien fell to his knees. His hand closed around the broken orb. Its light was fading fast. He whispered hoarsely, “No. She’s still in there.” And then the figure turned its hollow gaze toward him. “Then you will join her.”

I demanded answers. “My child. My name is Selene. I am the Moon Goddess.” She lightly chuckles at my apparent stupidity. She continues while I relax and stand up straight. “You are in my realm sweetheart.” “Wait.
