Shizi, seorang pemuda yang selalu mendapatkan perundungan, penyiksaan dan perlakuan tidak menyenangkan dari klan nya, terutama dari keluarga inti Klan Song yang merupakan klan besar dan termasyur di kerajaan Awan. Status Shizi yang tidak memiliki ayah dan ibunya yang berasal dari kasta terendah dalam klan membuat dirinya mendapatkan perlakuan seperti itu terutama dari Song Ong, sang tuan muda klan Song. Puncaknya, Shizi difitnah dan  dirinya akan dibunuh oleh Song Ong sehingga membuatnya harus  melarikan diri dari klan untuk menyelamatkan hidupnya. Dari sana Shizi berusaha bangkit untuk memulai hidup baru untuk menaikan status dirinya, mencari tahu kebenaran tentang ayahnya, menyelamatkan ibunya yang masih berada di klan Song,  dan tentunya untuk membalaskan dendam pada Song Ong dan klannya. Akankah Shizi berhasil mencapai tujuannya ditengah banyaknya masalah yang menghampirinya?
