ENCOUNTER

Killian spent the whole weekend blowing up my phone. he went to my apartment only to be told by the doorman that I moved out days ago and now he is going mad. I'm surprised it took him so long to realize I'm gone.

Today is the day I'm being introduced to everyone in the company and I'm pretty sure Killian will fume when he sees me.

I'm wearing a black bodysuit with purple heels. I know being light skinned is always praised for being able to pull off any colour clothing but that is something I don't get. the only colour I can rock is black sometimes grey but that's about it.

I'm driving us to work because why not. I have a car I have to flaunt it.

At work I'm told by Cassie that I'm a junior designer on the executive floor and it's the same floor as the Carter, each with their respective receptionists and I don't mind.

"Kimberly, Mr Carter has called you to his office."

Tilting my head I ask, " which one?"

"Christopher."

I nod at her and make my way to his office. on the way I see Killian kissing some girl by his office door. I considered turning back but it would only make me scared of him. When he raise his head to see who was passing by him and disturbing his make out session he froze for a moment when he saw it was me. The way he pushed the girl away from was comical. I didn't stop to hear what he wanted to say, just walked straight to Chris's door. Since Killian was hit on my heels I didn't bother with knocking.

" Hey baby, I was told you wanted to see me." I say to Christopher in a panicked tone.

immediately he's out if his chair and pulling me into his arms as Killian enters. I cling to my husband's jacket as him and Killian engage in a stare off. Killian let's out this deranged laugh like he's not seeing what he's actually seeing. "What in the ever loving f**k is my girlfriend doing with my brother? And why are you calling him baby?"

Killian fires question after question. Before Chris can answer I shake my head at him and turn to face Killian.

"He is my husband. Not that it's any of your concern." Now it's like I just made him disconnected. His eye is literally twitching like a hummingbird wings on a flower.

He lunges at me and tries to grab me by the throat. He sort of stops hims at the last minute.

He tilts his head in a canine manner and says in a cold detached voice, " you are not married to my useless brother. even if you were I wouldn't believe you, you are madly in love with me Kimberly. if you are not back to me by tonight I might do something you won't like." he turns and stalks away from us.

"Are you okay baby?"

I not because if I don't I might cry. I never thought seeing him in such closed settings would be something I feared until now. I need to be stronger mentally than him and show him I'm not here to play.
