Seventh Son: Book Novels & Stories

I know the stories of Astria all too well, the havoc and destruction they've left in their wake. They were demonic by nature - to be loathed and expelled at all cost. "We were on the verge of extinction before he arrived and united all the packs as one, ending their bloodline so history would never repeat itself. But that was until the prophecy—the threat of a new dawn of their existence. The only way to curb it is if the 7th son obtains a powerful pairing." The 7th son... I know the word doesn't necessarily mean 'literally' because historically, Cyrus only had one child with his mate, meaning '7th son' translates to his 7th descendant in line for the throne.

"Not now, not ever." ... I checked myself out of the hospital against medical advice, against all those soft instincts that had kept me chained to his side for seven years. The accident had taken my child and my love for Dante. I returned to the villa where I had lived for seven years. Seven years of memories were etched into every wall, every floor, every sheet that had been stained with our sweat. When I first met Dante, he was not yet a mafia Don. Back then, he had just taken over the Castellano family when it was on its last legs, hunted by countless enemies. Besides ambition, he had nothing.

Silver hair, black uniform, the straight line of her spine that said she knew exactly where she was going and didn't care who saw her get there. Mason remained at the counter, talking to the clerk about something trivial. He didn't look my way. Didn't acknowledge the Alpha who had sent him into exile for the crime of being right. Caleb cleared his throat. "The 7th Account transfer cleared. But there's a note attached. Personal message from the vault keeper." I didn't look away from the empty doorway. "Read it." "'The dormant vault recognizes its heir. Blood calls to blood. The seventh seal waits for the seventh daughter.'" Caleb's voice faltered. "Jaxon, what does that mean?"

Tatiana stood there, eyes flicking between father and daughter, still reeling. Liam… was silent. The great Liam Ratford, silenced by a seven-year-old girl.

Please come back to bed. I looked up at Jackson, desperate to catch even a fraction of a slip in his composure. Was she pregnant? Was it Jackson's? Or was it Jaden's? If Avery was carrying Jackson’s child, it meant my husband hadn’t just rejected me, he had betrayed me in the most ultimate, unforgivable way imaginable. But if it was Jaden’s baby, then why was Jackson so eager to step into his dead twin’s shoes, play father to another man's child, and look at me with such icy, unfeeling detachment?

"Dylan Skinner, you're under investigation for intentional harm and illegal organ trafficking. You need to come with us." My mother's eyes widened in disbelief. "That's impossible! My son just had a kidney transplant. He was only discharged today. How could he hurt anyone, let alone traffic organs?" My father shook his head, looking at Dylan lying pale on the bed. "My son has been weak since he was a kid. He barely even socializes. How would he have the chance to do something like that? You've got the wrong person!" Janice's voice trembled as she spoke. "Then can you tell me where Curtis is right now?"

“Nyx Hura’nyx. Seventh son of the seventh litter.” “And you’re a prince?” He nodded. “But seventh son of the seventh litter carries little weight in the royal household. I must make my own way in the world.” Very noble. With that many siblings I was surprised they even noticed he was missing. Marv shook the stiletto at him, but I think she was stretching her arm out because it was getting tired being held in that position. Nyx flinched back, banging his head against the wall behind him and squeaked. If Flossie had been here, no doubt she would have pounced on him and smothered him in her breasts.

These two were completely ignoring him. "Senior, you'd better think this through. The Sonner family isn't one to be trifled with." He was a disciple from the Sonner family? Chase noted this silently. The Sonner family ranked second among the prominent families in the Desolate Ancient Sect, even more powerful than the Garth family. "Thornton Sonner, stop being an eyesore here. Take your communication talisman and get lost." The senior irritably tossed out a small square object resembling a phone.

I never had enough food, never had proper clothes, and I even had to endure being spied on by my adoptive father… "All of this was because of you! If you had protected me back then, none of this would've happened!" I couldn't deny that Henry's past was tragic. It was also the first time he had openly shown resentment toward Alan and Margot. The infirmary fell silent. Alan and Margot were stunned. They had always believed the son they brought home would be gentle yet resilient at heart. But Henry was nothing like the person they had imagined, and they couldn't accept the stark contrast.

After dinner, I was called to Richard's study. Richard was not that decisive businessman in the company, but a patient and kind father, asking me, "Audrey, you've liked Jeffrey since you were a child. Do you still like him?" I shook my head. I liked him for seven years, humble and painful. I never gave up. But this time, I went through hellish torture. I didn't dare to like Jeffrey anymore. Richard got my answer, pondered for a moment, and regretfully said, "Never mind. Maybe you can not be our daughter-in-law, but you will always be our daughter. You are good and beautiful. It is Jeffrey’s loss."
