The woman was smaller than Maria had expected, almost delicate, with silver hair pulled back in a severe bun and eyes that held the cold calculation of someone who had long ago stopped seeing other humans as anything more than raw material.

Maria thought about who will betray them and give the werewolves a spell because this was the job of a witch. The werewolves ran impatient waiting for an answer.
