The Gifted Luna
The next morning, they reached the foot of the cursed mountain.
It was taller than any peak they'd ever seen. A black stone veined with red, like frozen lava. The air was thick with power.
"Are you sure about this?" Edwin asked.
Tiara nodded grimly. "He sure is under there. The Shade King's lair."
They climbed for hours, following old sigils carved into the rocks, symbols of the Moon and the Shadow intertwined.
As they reached a narrow ledge, the mountain groaned, as if alive. The ground cracked beneath their feet, and the echo of laughter, somewhat ancient, inhuman, rolled through the air.
