Marked in Shadows

Marked in Shadows

I swallowed my protest and kept silent. During the afternoon trip, Sabrina kept complaining about the long journey. Even so, Matteo showed no sign of annoyance, just comforting her patiently. The car stopped at the foot of a mountain where the path was rough and uneven. It was so narrow that it could only fit one person at a time. We had no choice but to get out and hike on foot. Sabrina threw her bag at me with a disdainful look. "Carry my bag." We walked a long way, and none of us noticed the danger quietly approaching from behind. The grass by the roadside rustled, and several rogues who had been lurking for a while burst out of the bushes.

Alpha's Rejected Secret

Alpha's Rejected Secret

The shadows screamed—not in triumph, but fury. “Very well,” the voices snarled. “Then we will take what you refuse to give.” The wards exploded outward. And somewhere deep beneath the mountain, something ancient woke up. I surged forward as the circle shattered— “ARIA!” The ground dropped. Darkness roared upward. And she fell.

Sacrifice in Shadows

Sacrifice in Shadows

I scoured the earth for any sign of you, vowing to keep searching as long as I had breath in my body. "Then, by sheer chance, I spotted your name on a medical team's list and trekked across wild terrain to find you, only to discover you didn't want me anymore. "Wendy, I'll wait for you," Matthew said, his voice barely a whisper. With tears streaming down his face, Matthew bolted, stumbling and nearly tripping over his own feet in his haste.

Bound with Shadows

Bound with Shadows

I didn't have an answer for that, not a truthful one anyway, “I don't know. Maybe there's something else in the library he missed" This was the truth, I did think there was something else Marcus might not have found. Maybe I would visit his mansion myself and check. What harm would it do. WRITER POV The shadows were not as desolate as everyone thought, in them hid her. She watched everything, she watched everyone, her eyes were everywhere. And she had seen it, she had seen the destruction that would occur if Naomi didn't hurry, if Naomi didn't hurry to take the steps, open her third eye and receive the knowledge from the goddess.

Shadows Of Deception

Shadows Of Deception

It creaked as it opened the sound echoing through the initial silence. Once in, the stench of decay and stale smoke hit us like a physical force, but I didn’t flinch. It was a labyrinth of half-light and clutter, the space filled with the low murmur of voices and the occasional clink of metal. The men inside hanged around on tattered furniture or clustered around makeshift tables, their eyes immediately shifting towards us with a mix of curiosity and respect. Levi, the boss of this dark haven, stood apart from the rest. His bearded face was a canvas of scars and shadows, his eyes gleaming with a cold, calculating intelligence that had earned him his place at the top.

THE LUNA HE SWORE TO KILL

THE LUNA HE SWORE TO KILL

The Primordial Darkness. It slowly lifted one hand. Its laughter carried across the valley. "You didn't think..." Its voice echoed over the battlefield. "...that mountain could hold me forever..." The shadow smiled. "...did you?"

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

He raised his staff, and the shadows in the room coalesced into four massive, hulking beasts—shadow-wolves, born from the mountain’s own corrupted energy. "Kill the Alphas," the Inquisitor commanded. "Bring me the Queen’s heart. I will feast on the lineage of light tonight." The shadow-wolves lunged. "Emma, the core!" Nathaniel shouted, his shield finally shattering. "You have to purge the stone! If the mountain falls, we all fall!" I looked at the chaos. Damon was locked in a brutal struggle with two of the shadow-beasts. Vincent was trying to crawl toward his daggers, his eyes clouded with poison.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The first genuine smile in a very long time. Because after months of uncertainty— she finally saw them. Not clearly. Not perfectly. But enough. Enough to know they were real. Enough to know they were close. Then the mountain beneath them shook. Harder than before. BOOOOOOOOM! A massive shadow moved behind the golden door. The cheering stopped immediately. The smiles vanished. And every person on the mountain felt the same thing. Fear. Raw. Ancient. Overwhelming fear. Then the shadow's eyes opened. Even from miles away—

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Possessing her Shadows

Possessing her Shadows

“Not there. Not ever.” But even as I said it, I knew my protest was just that—words. Symbols don’t mean much when a man like Marcelo decides to erase them. My eyes drifted to the broken shards of my phone. Pieces of glass sparkled under the dim light, like tiny stars scattered across the rug. My chest ached. That phone had been my lifeline—my way to wire money back to my mother, to Fae. To make sure they ate. To keep them alive while I played Elena’s shadow.
