Ends and Beginnings

Ends and Beginnings

He swore under his breath and got out of the car to check. However, the first thing he saw was Serena standing outside, ranting like a maniac. “What’s so good about her, huh?! Did you abandon me for her?” Cyrus shielded me with his body. “Don’t be reckless. If you have to do something, take it out on me!” It was the worst thing to say to a hysterical Serena. She suddenly grabbed some scissors from her purse and stabbed Cyrus. He stared at her in disbelief before collapsing into a heap.

“Let’s end this.” Jerry’s eyes flickered, the shard’s glow fading as he pocketed it. “Yeah,” he said, his voice steady. “Let’s end it.”

The Divine Undertaker

The Divine Undertaker

That left Rags taken aback. Wait, what was it that he understood? Then, as everyone looked on in shock, Caleb walked up to Shar. "Let me tell you something…" Shar looked up, blood-soaked and having completely no idea what Caleb was going to say to him, when his sword flashed! Swish! There was nothing said in return, as Shar's head was hacked off!

Something colder. Sharper. A blade waiting for the right moment. And when it came, I wouldn’t miss.

Ends

Ends

He didn’t complete his statement when a gunshot rang through the air and shattered the rear screen glass. The shock rattled the both of us that Hunter lost control temporarily of the wheels and the car began drifting in both directions. We weren’t even given enough time to recover from the first shot when another hit my side mirror. “ Dear God” those were my only words. My heart was thumping so loudly against my chest that I could hear the reverberation in my ears. I could swear that the dilation of my pupils have limited all I could see to only ten percent. I didn’t believe it was possible, but Hunter started going faster.

To all the readers waiting like me...I think the author just doesn’t use this platform anymore. There was an update on another platform, I just gave up. I do not like to leave a book and not knowing the ending. But it seems the author does not even bother post a comment on this platform.

I will like to know when the next novel will be publish? Is Jump is the last part of the bullied series? Want to know if the little girl will be safe. And even do people are against Iris and Hunter. I will like to see them together. Hunter needs to redeem himself.

This book was amazing!!!! Definitely some writing mess ups but otherwise so amazing great story author I couldn't put it down!!!! I loved Brandy and I Loved Storm (great name by the way) it just made the book better somehow
Wayne Bodle
awesome book! Brandy's character rocks she is smart funny strong, compassionate loving and vulnerable. One of the best female leads I've read. She has you laughing one minute and wanting to cry the next how she is treated. She deserves only the best. I bet Storm will give her that before it's over.

How We End II

How We End II

He asked me, ever so randomly. I furrowed my brows in confusion, finding it hard to remember. "You said 'I'm sorry Dean, but this is how we end'." He reminded me. I looked at him, still trying to understand why he made that reference. "And as time passed, and I started to heal," he went on, "I could think about our memories without feeling so much pain and there was a particular one that always crossed my mind." I waited for him to reveal what it was. "True love stories never have endings." He said softly. "Richard Bach."

Frequently Asked Questions

The summary on the back of my copy practically gave away the core twist about Amma. It frames the whole thing as this atmospheric Southern Gothic about a reporter returning home to cover a murder, which it is, but the blurb's fixation on the 'toxic sweetness' of the town and the 'sharp objects' women use felt like a massive, flashing neon sign once I finished the book. I kept thinking about the phrase 'the truth is closer than she thinks' while reading, and it made me suspicious of every character in that house from the get-go. You're told Camille is investigating an external monster, but the summary's language primes you to look for the monster within the family itself, which completely undermines the slow, horrific reveal Flynn builds.

Honestly, it spoiled the experience a bit for me. I spent the whole novel waiting for the other shoe to drop with Adora and Amma instead of being genuinely shocked when it did. The summary turns a deeply unsettling discovery into a predictable destination. I wish it had been more oblique, maybe just focusing on Camille's personal demons without hinting so heavily at the domestic horror.
