the old man said when we entered the armory to get the weapons available. He walked to a section of a cupboard and got out a long cardboard box which he opened to reveal two swords with razor sharp edges. The blades were sharp enough to cut through anything with ease. “I had the scientists make this for you,” he said. “It can slice through your enemies with ease and they will have no choice but to retreat.” I held the swords and waved them around to see how it worked. It was light and didn’t feel like it weighed a ton unlike my former blade.

He confessed as he grimaced. “I don’t care about how they look. I care about being mobile,” I told him. He smiled at me. “I’m glad you said that. There was something that caught my eye. If I may show you, sir.” He walked to his bag and pulled out a sheet of paper. I looked at the picture. It was a piece of curved metal with what looked like a sock at the top. “It’s a running blade, and it’s made out of carbon fiber. Athletes use them to compete. I was thinking this would be more suitable for a man like yourself.” “Does it make them any faster?” I inquired.

The pencil has a sharp silver blade at the other end and it was designed specially because of my former small, weak pack. “Ouch!” I faked a groan to attract the guard’s attention.

Then I grabbed my sheath for my waist and inserted my seven inch parkerized blade. “Holy Moon Goddess! You look like you are going to war.” Rory squealed. I laughed at her energy. I look over at Aiden who is looking at me with some emotion I cannot name. The last thing I grab is my Kukri Machete. It’s eight inches long and completely black. There is only a thin silver lining along the edge. It’s great for combat, but I am going to slice through some of the targets. “Okay, I’m ready.”

Gently, she cut into my wrist with the blunt knife, and suddenly I became less concerned about my sickness and more scared of dying from an infection. "Is it working?" I asked as blood dripped from my wrist and into the steel bowl beneath. "Camille?" "It might if you stop talking." She said with her eyes shut. I waited impatiently for something to happen and it was then I noticed the red powder on the blunt knife. "What is that?" I asked but by then whatever it was had started taking effect on me. I growled in pain as my bones snapped and my veins popped out. My Alpha eyes appeared and my sharp canines sprouted out. "What have you done?" I asked, struggling to resist the shift.

Zephyr sparkled like a well-sharpened arrowhead. Within a short amount of time, six bladed energies immediately followed with a swing of his sword. His progress was truly remarkable for such a short time. When the bladed energies landed a cut across a boulder, the exposed surface was as smooth as glass.

I command “Yes.” She breathes nodding before turning her head away from me. As soon as I reach my armoury room I change into a pair of dark jeans, a black V-neck t-shirt and put on my boots. I strap on my 9mm underneath my shirt, grab my sniper case and insert my Matsuda blade onto my back. I was getting ready to party.

I cleared the first 50 meters, taking a rough corner that snagged my shirt just a bit when I saw a flash of something move. Getting into a kneeling position I let my fingers release the small throwing dagger from the pocket of my pants. I gripped it ready to fly it to my target when suddenly my dominant arm was ripped down by a German Shephard. The vicious beast shook me with all his might and caused me to fall backward. I felt it's teeth sank into my flesh and I groaned in both pain and frustration. I wasn't expecting this to be a part of the hunt tonight.

The vehicles were parked in a tight circle under a canopy of pine trees, and the supplies were laid out on tarps across the forest floor like the inventory of a war nobody wanted to fight. I spent the first hour sharpening weapons. Silver alloy blades, reinforced tips, the edges honed to a thinness that caught the firelight and threw it back in razor thin lines. My hands moved automatically, following a rhythm I had learned years ago, while my mind sat somewhere else entirely.

I walk over and lift it from its stand. "It's quite sharp, a good weapon, but not a proper size for you. The halberd is deadly and takes a master to wield it proficiently." I step several yards away and sweep the air in front of me. The blade whooshes through the air and makes a unique sound. She's captivated.
