The soft way it sounds. “Yes.” I blink back my tears and manage a shaky smile. “Let’s get it over with.”

_Author’s POV_ The next morning, Astrid woke up to find both twins acting extremely suspicious. They kept whispering to each other when they thought she wasn’t looking, and Gideon kept showing up at odd times with papers for them to sign. “What are you two planning?” she asked over breakfast. “Nothing,” they said in unison, which was definitely a lie. “We’re just handling pack business,” Zade added. “Very important pack business,” Zarek confirmed.

In the distance, the lapping waves sounded like a melody dancing along the shoreline. I clutched my handbag in one hand, my shoes tapping gently on the cobbled path leading to my house. The house stood majestically with large windows overlooking the ocean—my sanctuary of quiet and peace. As soon as I opened the front door, shrill laughter greeted me, flowing from the living room. The clinking of plastic toys was followed by the sound of little feet running around. Before I saw them, a scene came to mind—the twins, cheerful and full of energy, like waves that never stop rolling.

Jessie replied as he patted Sean on the back. It was funny as I watched the two men interact with each other just how different they both were. Sean towered over Jessie in height standing at 6 foot 6 inches tall with a strong build. He had sandy blonde hair and honey brown eyes.His hair was longer on top, kind of messy and shaved around his neck and ears. Jessie was a few inches shorter than Sean but he had a much bulkier build that I am sure has come from his years of being a trainer. I couldn’t help but be attracted to the man in front of me. I shake my head to clear any of those naughty thoughts from my mind before they get out of hand laughing to myself.

They could not refrain from feeling goosebumps all over their bodies. Their right hands went numb when they saw how Shaun’s fingers were twisted into a ghastly shape after Zayn ruthlessly broke them. After studying Shaun’s technique, Zayn would not waste time on Shaun anymore and crippled him instantly. He could already confirm that Shaun was a member of a club. Moreover, his technique and mannerism were exceedingly cruel, and he would only bring damage to the people here. What was the point of keeping a man here other than crippling him? They widened their eyes in surprise and found it incredulous.

I couldn't help but laugh before shaking my head too. That night, we ended it watching the fireworks however, I can't stop myself from looking at my family while hugging them. Damn, who would have thought that the governor's son who planned to die after killing his father would love his life so much today? Who would have thought that I'd have cute little twins who look like their mom? And a lovely wife who I can't get enough of. Who would have thought that the former president would love his duty as a husband now? Artemis looked at me when she saw me just staring at them. She just hugged me before whispering the words that can make my heart crazy every single time.

Shawna smiled because she knew that the bitch was afraid that she would tell Shadow everything she did before that monster took over her body. Even though she didn't plan to tell Shadow shit. It didn't mean that she wouldn't enjoy seeing that bitch sweat. She will eventually tell on her fucking self, people who are desperate like her always ends up fucking themselves up. Shadow turned to Shaid, then back to Shawna. Shawna shook her head, “Shadow just go, she obviously needs you. Like I said, I will be fine.” Shawna said, taking Storm from him, walking towards her cousins who were holding the twins.

“Let it go. Come help me with this.” Dwayne rushed over and then I felt a kick in my stomach. “Oooh,” I groaned softly and Dwayne raised his hand but dropped them. He looked so cute, begging with his eyes to feel their movement. I held his hand, placing it on my belly. A large smile grew on his face when he felt them move. “I guess they like their uncle,” I teased. Shane and I had found out I was having twins. But he wanted the sex hidden until they arrived.

Was he feeling shy? "Hi, Zach. Sit down." Mikaella and I even assisted him. "I'm Mikaella Syre Verdan, by the way. This is Haze Rain San Forte and Shanna Rose San Forte. The only twins of our families." I quietly continued eating. Only twins? Hah! The two of them chatted away, becoming close immediately. Shanna was busy on her phone, sighing several times out of boredom. Haze had his eyes closed, leaning on the seat as if completely absorbed in the music playing.
