Divorce? Never Letting Go!

Divorce? Never Letting Go!

“I was mean to you, said things that I shouldn't have. Chloe wouldn't have had access to Killian like that if I didn't ignite it. I tried to break your home, forgive me, please.” Her voice shakes as she looks at me with a desperate, pleading expression I've never seen from her. Her usual controlled demeanor is gone, replaced by raw, unfiltered emotion. This is surreal and I suddenly do not feel any pain left. I look at her, seeing her not just as the fierce woman who's been my adversary, but as a mother who owns up to her mistakes. I nod. “I forgive you. It's all in the past now,” A tiny smile crawls it's way to her face. “Thank you. Thank you very much,” she says, squeezing my hand briefly

Reckless Royals of Nocturne Prep

Reckless Royals of Nocturne Prep

She just looked at me, her eyes searching my face like she was trying to remember who I used to be. "I forgot her name," she said finally, her voice so low I almost missed it. "Did you know that? For a whole week after she left, I couldn’t remember it. I told myself it didn’t matter, that forgetting her was the first step to moving on, even if she fucking left a child. But then today, you’ve made me remember. You said her name, and now it’s back, carved into my mind like a wound that refuses to close."

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR.BILLIONAIRE

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR.BILLIONAIRE

Or any writers, really. But the name felt like breath. Like an echo in a quiet room. So she bought the book. She didn’t read it right away. Carried it in her backpack for a week. Then put it on her nightstand, where it collected dust and guilt. She finally opened it one Thursday night, long after the rest of the house had gone to sleep. And on the first page, it read: To the ones we never got to meet — but somehow knew all along. Her chest tightened.

Tangled In Velvet

Tangled In Velvet

“The fire’s started. We need to go.” “Wait,” she said. “Just wait.” She opened the envelope. Inside was a single page. You always said memory was malleable. That girls forget what hurts if you rename it. That pleasure rewrites pain. But I didn’t forget. I remembered every hand. Every command. Every lie. And I let you think I broke because I knew what you were building. I knew your pattern. You erase the girls who stop obeying. But I’m not gone. Not yet.

She Was Never the Real Reason

She Was Never the Real Reason

Alexa was furious that Dominic, her best friend's fiancé, had forgotten such a significant event. She felt incredibly sorry for Jane and disgusted by Dominic. "You have quite the selective memory," she said. "You forgot the crucial events of New Year's Eve six years ago?" She continued, "You didn't even thank her then, and now you're treating Jane this way!" Alexa recounted Jane's years of quiet support for Dominic and the dangerous night six years ago, even showing him photos of Jane's hospital stay. Dominic left Alexa's house in a daze.

What They Never Told Me

What They Never Told Me

" I tried to shake off the ache in my chest, swiping at my nose like it'd stop me from tearing up. I didn't want her to see this—not now. She'd already lost so much. By the time night fell, her sobs were barely audible. A knock at the door finally made her get up. The landlord. She called a moving company, arranged to take the boxes. Holding the small container of soil with my remains, she whispered, her voice raw, "Sienna, come home with Mommy. I'll take you home. I won't lose you again..." I reached out, wrapping my arms around her. "Mom, I'll go with you. Next life, I promise I'll do better. Can you be my mom again?"

A Life I Never Knew

A Life I Never Knew

I didn't know what she meant I thought she meant she couldn't communicate because she was hurt and it was hard to speak. Then she disclosed something truly awful and surprising. She said couldn't write which led me to believe she couldn't read either. That made me mad but even sadder. Who doesn't teach a child how to read and write its a basic human right! I was so angry at those fuckers but I didn't dare show it in front of Luna. I smiled as much as I could trying to put her at ease. When she asked if I was mad at her for not knowing how to write it was getting harder to keep from storming out and going into the jail and ripping that bastard apart limb from limb.

The Alpha's Ruby Obsession

The Alpha's Ruby Obsession

“I kinda guessed it when flipping the book hurt like hell. Well, it’s not like it's anyone’s fault; sometimes these things happen and…now we can fully be with our mates, Right?” She shrugged before bending towards something on the shelf. ‘Sometimes these things happen.’ What? ‘Now we can fully be with our mates.’ What the hell was she saying? Again, the sense of pointlessness struck him because the realisation that forgiveness couldn’t be granted by ‘this’ Ruby dawned. Forgive and forget was a beautiful concept, yet forgiveness cannot exist if all is forgotten. “These!” She uttered as she pulled a pair of black gloves from the back of the shelf with a triumphant smile that saddened all too q

Barbara Melendez
I love the work of Undercover Ostrich. She has a dark understanding of human nature that comes out in her characters. She puts a lot of thought, vulnerability, and passion in her stories. I look forward to her updates everyday! I love the bonus story. I wish it was another book so I can read more.

This book literally held me from starting to end it’s very well written, and the character growth is very there and real. If you have a thing for bad boys and a little obsessions for villains, then this is the book for you as a mom, I always turn to books to alleviate some of my stress, this was it.

My (Delicious) Roommate

My (Delicious) Roommate

"If this family member is who I think he is, then he won't tell. He never will, not even on his deathbed." Johnny asks: "Who? Why? What are you talking about?" But she just nods her head no, as if mulling over an old and painful memory, and looks at Emanuele quite intensely: "I am a very old woman. I've seen incredible things happen. I have also witnessed horrible tragedies. But I will never forget what they did to those kids.... Those children." The girl can't say anything. Even Johnny doesn't try to speak this time. "The girl apparently forgave. She was always a good girl, who would do anything to please..."
