The man asked, curiosity was visible in his voice making the two women frowned, while Vanessa was just looking at the spider with burning eyes. "Take that away from me! Or better kill that thing, it's so disgusting!" She shouts at them. "Hey, you might hurt her feelings especially now that Aracni is pregnant, she might lose her babies." Hunter said and gave the spider away to the guy beside him. "Pregnant what?! So you are saying that it will release many species like her? No, starting today. I don't want to see any of those creatures in this whole organization. Try me Hunter, or else you wanted to kill me?" Vanessa asked with authority in her voice. Hunter pouted in return.

He grunted every now and then and took a sip of his drink, his thoughts wavering far into space. Venom insisted that they came here for unknown reasons; and Raven had accepted not because he wanted to but because he knew Raven had the favour of the Scorpion Mafia family. A minute later, a cough could be heard from one of the guys. “I'm exhausted, man. I feel like I need a break,” he said. She snapped. Venom slammed a hand on the desk, his eyes darkening. "I warned you, didn't I?" He growled. "She's just a new recruit. I don't see why you're bothering yourself with her affairs-" Shade had barely completed her statement when Venom vanished from his seat and appeared in front of her, his hand wrapped around her throat. "If this happens again, I will not hesitate to punish you. So, be warned." I had never seen Venom act like this. He'd always been a calm person who was cool headed. This was the first time I was seeing him losing his cool.

My body seemed to go into shock as I became paralyzed, hanging low from the noose. Tears poured down my cheeks and I gasped for breath as the lack of oxygen was making my lungs burn. My vision was getting blurrier as I began to lose touch with reality. It was slow and agonizing. The faint sound of clapping and cheering was all I could hear as my life slowly slipped away from me. Zara’s Pov The girl in the mirror didn’t look like someone who had eleven days to save her enrollment. She looked like trouble. Red lips. Smoky eyes. A body poured into scraps of black lace that left very little to imagination. I held her gaze for a moment and felt the familiar pull of that quiet vertigo of looking at yourself and not quite recognizing what looks back. Eleven days, I reminded myself. Don’t think past that.
