Malia looked so amazed at the beautiful scenery around her. Malia smiled happily when her throat was made wet by the fresh mountain water. What else could she do besides being grateful? Loui chuckled then threw a spontaneous question, "Want to get naked in front of me?"

He stopped mid-stride on the trail and looked northwest, and the expression on his face was specific enough that I stopped without being told to. "How far is the nearest shelter?" I asked. "Twenty minutes," he said. "If we move now." We moved. The hunter's shelter was a permanent stone base with a solid roof, stocked for exactly this kind of emergency. Wood by the door, dry provisions on the upper shelf, two rooms divided by a heavy curtain. The outer room was larger, the inner one smaller, with a fire pit that still had ash in it from the last use. The storm hit fully about fifteen minutes after we got inside.

His face was lined with age and battle scars. “But we don’t know how long it will hold. It’s only temporary.” Azerbel listened carefully. Her mind already moving ahead. “We need somewhere safe to move the people if the enemy breaks through,” she said after a moment. Then suddenly: “What about Gerrerear Mountain?” Several warriors looked surprised. “We can evacuate people there.” Ryan frowned slightly. “We’re not familiar with that mountain.” “It’s close to lycan territory,” Gavin explained. Then he added calmly: “We know it very well.”

It prepared me for what to expect and what to leave aside. "Are coming to spend a nice hangout here because nothing nice can come from up the mountain. Nothing good!"
