AGAINST THE FATES

AGAINST THE FATES

At the door, Faith swore as she saw the woman before speaking," Adi, I'll talk to you later. Bye." Taking out the pods from her ears, Faith marched forward into the cafe, taking a look around casually. The patrons were going to be in for a show. Because knowing women like Caitlyn, they would not go anywhere without drama. Sigh. Being with Adi, she should expect such scenes in the future also. Sigh. She had forgotten about this problem. "Miss Caitlyn, what a pleasant surprise...not." Caitlyn did not bother with the pleasantries, and simply picked up the glass of water on the table and threw it on her face, warning her," Stay out of his life. Otherwise next time..."

Unshatter Me

Unshatter Me

"But I'm being honest Andrea, all I did was get myself a can of coke but then they started calling me all sorts of names, and ridiculing me . I was going to ignore them as I usually do, but then they mentioned the orphanage and how I'd rot in here alone and thats when I lost all sense of rationality. All I saw was red and the next thing I know it my fists were already all over him. My rage and hate for him fueled me even more and I don't know why but I felt so alive when punching the shit out of him" he sighed "Mahn, you are messed up" And with that we both burst out into laughter. This was Cayden. He was among the older teens in the orphanage. He just recently shifted and so his emotions wer

Her Shield in the Shadows

Her Shield in the Shadows

"Please, I'm begging you, Ate! Don't let anything happen to him!" "Fuck, Raegan! We're already en route, we're on a speedboat heading your way right now! Find a secure place and hide wherever you are! We are going to get you and Dominic out of there!" Lieutenant Trinidad's booming, authoritative voice suddenly cut through the line, replacing my sister's. A faint sliver of hope pierced through my panic, but it wasn't enough to calm the storm in my chest. Unable to form another coherent word, the call abruptly cut out, leaving me trapped in the terrifying dark.

The Lawless Heart.

The Lawless Heart.

I say in a firm voice, leaving the house. It took Caitlin three hours to find her and to get me all of the details I needed on her, her full name Is Zariah, she's a lawyer, and she graduated from a high-end university with a perfect score, she's originally from Scotland, but moved into the US a while ago right after graduation and started to work for Thalia, my Thalia, that bitch, and she's hiding her from me!

Gardner said, then nodded curtly and walked on. Caitlin breathed a sigh of relief. It was a close call. Caitlin turned, grabbed the loose page from her desk, looked both ways, and made sure no one was looking. She looked up at the ceiling, at the hidden cameras. She knew she was being recorded, so she conspicuously put the loose page back in the book she found it in.

The Alpha's Hidden Child

The Alpha's Hidden Child

Emery I removed my hands away from my face and stammered as I saw Caitlyn standing on the balcony door with her arms crossed. “Mates with Alpha Kairo, huh?” She circled around me, and all I could do was look at her with horror. I’m screwed. “Were you planning on never telling us? The sweet dear family that has given you shelter ever since your whore of a mother died?”

I love this story. At beginning it reminded me of Cinderella story. The way it started out, but in a different way. It had some twist and turns. You definitely could feel the character and how she felt.

I like this book a lot. If you like the regret/baby wingman/character growth troupe, then I suggest this book for you. Kudos to the author for the not-so-short chapters as well.. P.S. Dalton is so funny

Destined (Book #4 in the Vampire Journals)

Destined (Book #4 in the Vampire Journals)

Perhaps, soon, this would all be over. * Standing at the entrance tunnel, Caitlin was unshackled by the guards, and she walked freely out into the Coliseum’s floor. She needed no prodding this time. She was eager to meet the day, to fight again, to finally meet her destiny. She was tired, deeply tired. Everyone she had loved, she had lost. Sam. Caleb. Blake. Her father. Rose. Jade….There seemed to be no end to the loss.

Billionaire's Regret: Finding Her

Billionaire's Regret: Finding Her

"Five years ago, during The Lewis Family fire, Dominic saved me. I fled, and in my despair, Sienna and Teresa appeared out of nowhere. They took me away, helped me safely give birth to the four kids, but Teresa told me that the youngest one had passed away. She kindly took the baby and said she would help me handle things." She paused, her mind reeling back to that time. "Then, I gave Howard to you and left with the other two kids to S country. While I was there, I met Zorro, my ‘mentor.’ Through their introduction, I joined Shadow Moon Pavilion. They raised my two children, and I received training that made me strong. I respected my teacher like a father, and I came to think of Shadow Moon

Desired (Book #5 in the Vampire Journals)

Desired (Book #5 in the Vampire Journals)

She was nervous to tell him, but she felt that she had to. “Caleb,” she said, “I don’t want to search anymore. I realize I have a special mission, that I need to help others, that I need to find the Shield. And it may sound selfish, and I’m sorry if it does. But I just want to be with you. That’s what’s most important to me now. To stay in this time, and in this place. I have a feeling that if we continue to search, we’ll end up in another time, in another place. And that we might not be together next time…” Caitlin broke off, and realized she was crying.
