The Love Barn

The Love Barn

Scarlett LEANED AGAINST the back wall of the barn and watched the bride spin around the dance floor. Benji's parody song of the B52's Love Shack played through the speakers. The day was almost over. She couldn't believe how many times they'd had a near disaster, starting with the surprise flower arch the bride had thrown at her first thing in the morning. Scarlett had realized too late this bride's methods, how she'd manipulated Scarlett into going above, beyond and farther than was reasonable.

Dear Ex, See you never

Dear Ex, See you never

"Then stop death-gripping my arm." I force my fingers to loosen. His hand moves to the small of my back, warm, steady, and a little possessive. It's purely performative, I know that, it’s all part of the show. But my skin tingles where he touches me, and I hate that my body can't tell the difference between performance and reality. "Damon!" A woman approaches, blonde and immaculate. "And this must be the mysterious bride! We're all dying to know how you two met."

Until The Last Day

Until The Last Day

The roots jerked, yanking her closer to the opening, scraping her body against the stone. The whisper of the trees pressed against her head. “Kneel! Kneel, and we won’t devour you.” Her throat constricted tightly. “I…” She slammed her hand against the floor, her fingers bloodied as she forced out a scream. “No! I won’t kneel!” she replied fiercely. The trees hissed like flames igniting dry leaves. The First Bride's voice turned seductive once more. “Then crawl, little bride. Crawl into them. That counts as begging too.”

Hello, Mr. Sculpture

Hello, Mr. Sculpture

The bride who was silent for all this time suddenly made a loud scream. The woman immediately took a drum nearby and started beating it in rhythm followed by I heard more drums noise coming from village. As soon as the sounds heard, the woman looked at the bride and smirked with satisfaction and started leaving the place. What is happening? Who is she and what did she do to that bride? Just then I saw a dark cloud forming above the head of the bride becoming big by seconds covering her. Then the bride’s begging cries turning into a muffled sound started coming out.

My Mate, My Bully

My Mate, My Bully

Compliance is my only ticket out of this horror show, and it tastes bitter, like swallowing regret with every fake smile. As the rushed wedding proceeds, I stand there, suffocating in a furry bridal gown that feels like a cruel joke. The vows roll off my tongue, but each word tastes bitter, like a poison I can't escape. The Nardoos are still around and their creepy vibes send shivers down my spine. They have eyes that seem to glare with different dark lights and creepy smiles that make them look like the minions of Joker and Pennywise.

The CEO's Addiction To Love

The CEO's Addiction To Love

Her arms were wrapped firmly around his neck, kissing him passionately while her body misbehaved from time to time. This video was recorded through a tiny pinhole camera in the dark. Thus, the quality wasn’t exactly clear, but when aired on such a large screen, one could recognize Sotiria and Zachary’s faces at first glance. They could even tell what they were doing… “Oh my God! This… This can’t be real! This has to be some sort of prank! Regardless of how uninhibited the bride used to be in the past, she’d never do such a thing on the day of her wedding to Garrison. This video must be faked!”

Praying there will be another book written or something, I know people get busy and life can throw a lot of curveballs ….I hope that what ever reason it’s delayed that one day the author can get us updates. Or an assistant. I’ve been watching a couple books (this one and another and no news :( ...️...️)
Stacia Samuels-Nesbeth
this is a great read so far. however, I have been waiting for over a week for the other chapters to be uploaded. I saw them when I first started reading and they have disappeared. you run the risk of losing not only some of your audience but also funds. I have started reading another author's novel.

Romancing the Horror

Romancing the Horror

A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night. A shrill voice announced, "The time has come. Let the bride enter!" A black carriage, lavishly decorated yet unsettling, rolled in slowly. The door opened, and a bride in a blood-stained wedding dress stepped out gracefully. "Where's my groom?" George hurried over, waving for the puppets to drag me away. He pointed at the players seated at a long table. "My lady, please take a look. Which one do you favor?" The bride lifted her veil. Blood slid down her face like melting wax. Her crimson eyes swept across the crowd. "I'm not satisfied with any of them. Not a single one looks pleasing."

The Bride Who Refused to Die

The Bride Who Refused to Die

"Breaking news! Bride loses her mind at billionaire wedding!" "Guess she wasn't meant for the high life. So close to marrying into money, and she snaps." Below the stage, guests in tailored suits crowded together. Some pulled out hidden cameras and started snapping photos nonstop, while others crouched in corners, clutching their heads and whispering prayers. All because, while Malcom Blair and I were exchanging vows just moments ago, I slapped him across the face, then dragged over a filthy man from the entrance who looked like a homeless drifter and kissed him in front of everyone.

Another Bride

This sudden change caused an instant uproar throughout the venue. The guests whispered to each other, exchanging secret discussions. Some were shocked, some were skeptical, and some were gloating. The atmosphere at the wedding venue instantly froze. Mabel's expression shifted as well. She squeezed my hand tightly, and I could sense her nervousness. I looked at Lana in the distance and could not help frowning. This woman refused to give up until she reached her goal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bride of the Living Dummy' is one of those Goosebumps books that stuck with me because it blends horror with dark humor so well. The story follows a girl named Trina who discovers a ventriloquist dummy named Slappy in her attic. At first, she thinks it's just a creepy toy, but soon Slappy starts moving and talking on his own, revealing his sinister plans to turn her into his 'bride.' The plot thickens when Slappy manipulates people around Trina, creating chaos and forcing her to confront his evil magic.

What I love about this installment is how R.L. Stine plays with the idea of inanimate objects coming to life—it's classic Goosebumps, but Slappy’s personality is extra unnerving here. He’s not just a mindless monster; he’s cunning and sarcastic, which makes him scarier. The ending leaves you with that trademark Goosebumps twist, where you’re never quite sure if the horror is truly over. It’s a fun, spine-tingling read that’s perfect for late-night thrills.
