"What's the meaning of this? Were you playing us the whole time? Did you make all of that up?" I leaned against the doorframe and blinked innocently. "What are you talking about, Zach? We have not met for a year. Did you have any dreams this past year?" Zach fell silent. He did have dreams. Not just him, but everyone had dreams that were similar. They had dreamt about the things they heard in my thoughts. Winter set the kettle on the stove and poured some cups of coffee. I spoke again, "Mom, there's still a story I haven't finished. Do you want to hear it?"

All the heat, all the desire, vanished as if doused by a bucket of ice water. "Don't be ridiculous," he said stiffly, turning his back to me. "She's a subordinate. How would I know? I'm exhausted. Let's sleep." Hearing his breathing even out almost instantly, the last bit of warmth in my heart turned to frost. That was it. The moment I mentioned the Omega and her child, he couldn't even be bothered to pretend anymore. I waited until he was sound asleep, then slipped out of bed and went to the "Eye of the Moon," a secret chamber in the pack's sacred grounds.

The interior of the Splinter was a geometric nightmare. There was no air, only a pressurized field of solid information. The walls were made of shifting violet glass, displaying the faces of a billion harvested souls in a rapid-fire blur of light. It was a library of ghosts, and it was screaming. In the center of the main hall, the "Core-Mind" manifested. It wasn't a High Priest or a holographic mother. It was a shifting, amorphous mass of golden needles and violet static—the raw, unrefined ego of the Source.

I said. Siobhan sighed grimly and ran her hands over the broken screen. "They are using something called Vocem Mentis, which is also known as the voice of the mind. It's a spell that plants doubts in your mind and twists reality. That's why you saw Mirella when no one else did." I eyed Siobhan suspiciously. "Who the hell is Mirella and what was I doing with her?" Siobhan and Dashiell looked at each other, before sighing in unison. "Dashiell's guards saw you talking to yourself in the hallway, while he and I were discussing about you. Then you attempted to run away."

I said while decoding the message. "So everything has its purpose?" He asked. "Yup! Everything has its purpose. As I quote Sherlock, 'To a great mind, nothing is little'. According to the code, it says Poison. Do you know what that means?" I tested and raised my brow. "I told you, I don't have the makings of a detective. I have no idea what's happening right now, all I know is your mind is as brilliant as you are." He surrendered his hands above and shook his head completely. Wow, he's smooth as day.

Same faint draft that smelled like old wood and something metallic. “What the hell is going on?” I whispered, heart picking up speed. I turned in a slow circle. Every direction looked familiar now, but none of it led where I wanted. It was like the palace itself was shifting, playing tricks. And suddenly, it felt like I was in a maze or something. My pulse thrummed in my ears. I closed my eyes and concentrated to mind-link Victoria…she’d know the layout…when the air changed. A sound drifted down the corridor. Very soft and mild.

She pulled out her pistol, making sure that it had it's silencer before shooting each men. "Red, do you copy?" Lucas' voice spoke though her earpiece. "Yes, three of their men are down. I'm about to turn the alarms off." Bella answered, walking towards the keypad by the entrance. Plugging in a device, Lucas had gave her earlier, she successfully turned off the alarms. "Alarms are down." She told Lucas before exploring the warehouse by herself. The warehouse was dark and was hidden amongst other buildings and it definitely did not give the impression of being a gang headquarters. It was as if they were not hiding a literal diamond inside.

Damn my curiosity. Felicity, why are you such a curious cat? I followed him towards the back portion of the gymnasium of our school. I stopped walking and hid in the bushes. I look at him and was shock at who he was meeting. It was the woman earlier. And what was her name again? I really can’t remember. I'm very bad at names. 'But you remember his name?' a voice in my head suddenly spoke in my head. I rolled my eyes at that. I'm weird.

I'm sure it is cold outside, but I didn't pay attention to that and walked out of the hospital. I walked mindlessly across the road, probably looking like I was a zombie, or an old lady who had Alzheimer. I was drenched in rain but yet still I persisted. As I reached the park I noticed a small little pond by the slides. As I walked over to the pond, I had two options: die or live. My eyes started to water again as the tears left my eyes effortlessly. I loved Daniel, how could he do this to me? He left me here, alone!

That would just be too much. “I’m sorry to disappoint you little wolf, but yes I can read your mind. Welcome to … well for not let's just call it The Forest of Wonder. It changes constantly, and what you see depends entirely upon you and what you need.” I gaped up at the dragon in utter shock as its golden iris danced with amusement. His voice was deep and velvety and felt intimate as it slithered through my mind.
