The small pout made Richard chuckle as he ruffled the youngest pup’s hair and held his hand to get his teeth brushed. Nine was their curfew, and the three pups were tucked into their cots by Richard, who decided to tell them a story from long ago before they slept. It was only during bedtime that all three pups became docile. They loved hearing stories about the ancient wolves that Richard told compared to the glorious battles Ambrose liked to tell.
