Shoulder Blade Hurts When I Cough Novels & Stories

Grinding pain. I hissed through my teeth, jaw clenched tight. No time to baby it. I leaned back against the rock, locked my spine, gripped the wrist with my left hand. Steadied my breath. Counted to three. Then jerked it forward and up. A sickening pop tore through my shoulder. Vision sparked white for a second. I bit down on a guttural noise and forced myself to breathe through the pain. It held. Joint back in place. The climb was slow, but I made it up.

I feel my ribs bust and a growl of pain vibrates hugely from my throat as I cough out blood. I fight the blackness creeping into my vision but that's nearly impossible as gravity takes effect, slamming my eyes close. . . TBC.

“God—” My hand flew to my temple, fingers pressing hard like I could hold my head together, like it wasn’t about to split open. The movement tugged at something else, and a sharp, tearing ache ripped through my shoulder. “Holy shit!“ I cussed under my breath, gripping my shoulder. The ache slowly spread from my shoulder down my arm in a hot, throbbing wave, stealing the strength from my fingers. My arm sagged uselessly at my side, heavy and wrong.

I then lay down on the bench and started doing the dumbbell flys. After that, external rotators, wrist curls, and reverse wrist curls. Alas, the barbell. I lifted it up and cursed. It's heavier than I thought. I lifted it a couple of times, and just when I reached my RM, I gasped. I was lifting the barbell up and behind my neck when my grip faltered. A sharp stabbing pain erupted from my shoulders, and I fell down from the chair. It's like my left shoulder was being burnt.

She was looking at me, a half-smile on her lips, to see how I would react. I reached for her lovely breasts with both hands. As it turned out, that wasn't such a good idea. My shoulder and collarbone both protested; that wasn't the ideal position for either of them. A twinge of pain spoiled the sensation for me. I gave up that attempt, and relaxed my left side, letting my shoulder rest on the bed. My right arm wasn't hurt, but when I extended it, I still felt a twinge on my left, in my collarbone. To make matters worse, the feeling in my injured hand was mixed, at best - both pleasure and discomfort.

He merely nodded in acknowledgment. “Bennedith here is complaining of acute pain in his navel and lower right abdomen. He said his pain is most severe when he coughs, walks, or makes sudden jarring movements. He also said he is nauseous and has vomited thrice today,” Ameera explained.

"My old bodyguard would've done worse." But I knew I should have done better. "You'll need to ice your shoulder, and if the pain worsens, you should call my father to have a look at it." His brows furrowed. "You just looked at it." "Ligaments protect the shoulder joint, and four tendons are connected to your rotator cuff. If any of those are torn, you might need surgery. With a flick of his wrist, he draped it over my shoulders. My torn shirt was covered completely at once, leaving only a small frayed edge of chiffon at the collar visible. "Can you move?" I nodded, using his arm for support as I stood up, wincing in pain and drawing in a sharp breath. The moment my back touched the leather surface, the wound on my shoulder blade was jolted sharply. I could no longer hold back the pained groan that escaped my lips, and beads of cold sweat broke out on my forehead, soaking my hairline.

ADRIAN I woke up to the steady hum of pain in my ribs and shoulder. Not the sharp, white-hot agony from before, but more like a dull and insistent ache that reminded me I was still alive, but just barely. Even breathing hurt so much, and I gasped for air.

It doesn’t even budge a little bit. I try again, using my body weight and leaning into my arm. Again, the window doesn’t open, and a frustrated scream tears from me, sending me into another coughing fit. A painful scraping feeling claws at my throat with each cough, making me wince. At the same time, my eyes grow tired and begin stinging. I rub at them, but it seems to only make them water, which blurs my vision even more. Shouldn’t someone see this? My neighbors?
