A woman walked out of a room, and shushed the kids.
“Quiet! Quiet down children! give the couple some space!” My eyes blinked. Couple? I looked at Theodore, then down at his arm in my elbow... We did look like a couple. I could never marry Theodore though. He is too much like a sibling to me. I nicely pulled my arm away from him, as the children moved to let the lady through.
“We are not a couple ma’am.” I generously said.
“ I am a young lady who has no husband. I am a winemaker, and I need workers.” The lady dropped her job at my word. She was in awe at the idea of a lady winemaker.
