The Alpha's pretend mate

The Alpha's pretend mate

Khyrix immediately stepped between me and the text, "Let me go through it." He laid the book on the table. As he carefully opened the heavy cover to the table of contents, I leaned over his shoulder, holding my breath. There was a strange substance growing all over the pages. Whatever it was, it grew like a network of veins, wrapping tightly around the edges of each sheet. Khyrix’s eyes scanned down the table of contents, instantly opening to page four hundred and thirteen. The page revealed a highly detailed, hand-drawn illustration. It was an exact replica of the massive tree that stood at the heart of our academy grounds.

The Professor, My Mate

The Professor, My Mate

Dan said, and I nodded. Soon after, we got to section B-2, and Beta Dan started pulling out some books. “I believe these ones are more likely to have what you’re looking for,” he said, handing me a book and another while he himself kept busy studying a page. I started to fiddle with the first book, scrolling page by page. The images and writing fonts were good, but not what I came for, so my interest dwindled. I believe I was reading something about rogues from the eastern side when I started to feel woozy, my eyes heavy and battling to stay open.

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

It also had nymphs drawn on the cover and side of the leaves. "There will also be a red book like aged blood, next to it will be a light blue diary, drawing clouds." The young woman went after the other books while remembering which books to pick up on which shelves to pick up. The red book had a pungent smell, as if it had been painted with blood and pain. Artemisia felt totally uncomfortable picking up that book, it was as if everything that had happened badly to her and that she had forgotten would come back with force and brutality because of that book.

'' Sylvia smiled. As she began reading, she realized that everything she had read before was referenced in the few final chapters. It just seemed like whoever wrote it wanted her to remember some of the things she had read. As she turned the last page, something fell off one of the pages. This had never happened before and she was quite surprised about it. ''What is this?'' Sylvia murmured.

A Night With My Ex's Father

A Night With My Ex's Father

Sidney asked absent-mindedly, rummaging through her bag to retrieve a pencil case that overfilled with highlighters and markers. "I'm good," I drawled, still a little confused. Gazing around the library, I saw all the empty tables that Sidney could have sat at. "Great!" she beamed, opening her textbook. She tucked her short hair behind her ears, using two heart shaped clips to keep it in place. I don't think I've ever seen anyone that happy to be hunched over a textbook. "Where's Nina?" Sidney asked, folding her bare arms on the table. "Chemistry," I answered, scowling slightly. "Why?"

The Luna Choosing Game

The Luna Choosing Game

People didn’t just vanish. Bookcase after bookcase lined the walls. I gently dragged my fingers over the spines. Some of the books seemed ancient, others newer. They sat side by side on the shelfs, a balance of new and old. When I reached the wall behind the couch, I noticed, there on the ground, a tiny bit of black sticking out from under the bottom former of one of the bookcases. I knelt down and pried it away from the furniture.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!! This book is almost 600 chapters and it’s not even close to ending. Read the first 20 chapters then skip to about 550 because the rest is going in circles and making out and dry h*mping in closets And Piper almost dies 50 times. Nick won’t claim her. Now your caught up

Put 5 stars so my comment stays at top. This book is literally never-ending and I feel is just becoming a cash grab. The same scenarios keep repeating themselves in different ways and the plot does not progress. We're at 589 chapters in and only NOW seem like we're POSSIBLY getting some progression.

Married to the Billionaire

I knew he wasn't looking for himself, as his eyes wandered through the unknown books. "That book attracts mad men", I spouted and he looked at me surprised. "I have never seen anybody say that", he said, flipping through the pages as he leaned against the bookstore wall in the very back. "Sure, sure", I mumbled and he followed me to my section, picking through the books I wanted. I had a handful now, and as I put them down to sort through them I couldn't concentrate as Dallas flipped through the pages still, leaning against that stupid wall, his eyes would flicker to me occasionally and I kept mine down just in case he looked this way.

The Betrayed Wolf of the Moon Goddess

Titus POV. Looking through the bookshelves, there are books, scrolls, and loose pieces of paper. This is going to take a while. “Ok, where shall we begin?” Sadia asks from beside me as we both look up and down the shelves. “You start at the table and I’ll start here.” I say as I start taking books off the shelf, looking at the covers and reading the titles. “This room is a mess. Would it have killed him to dust a little?” She says with a cough and I chuckle, shaking my head, putting the book back and moving to the next one.

The Cursed Omega

" I paused for a moment, but I was very curious. The White Wings pack’s library was not unlike any library I have seen. The room was filled with shelves that went from the floor to the ceiling, packed tightly with books of all shapes and sizes. Sage guided me through the rows, stopping in front of a specific shelf. Without hesitation, he pulled out a book—and my breath hitched. It was identical to the one I was holding.

There were also a number of books that were blank on the spines, which was interesting. I took one of the blank-spined books out and opened it up on a random page. Disappointment hit me. It was some kind of logbook or something. All handwritten notes, the script fine and meticulous. Stuff about ports and prizes and crap like that. I checked another. Same deal. Meh, not helpful. I placed it back on the shelf and pulled out Clarissa's Folly next, easing it over the wooden lip of the shelf that held the books safely in place. Hopefully this one might yield something more helpful.
