“Slide!” Adrian exhaled through his nose, a sound that was almost a laugh. “Of course.” *** The playground was a frantic sprawl of chaos—children screaming with joy, parents negotiating over snacks, and colorful shoes abandoned under the swings. It was loud, messy, and vibrantly alive. Adrian stood at the edge of the sand for a second too long, rooted to the spot. This was not a world he knew how to enter; there were no boardrooms here, no leverage to apply.

Damien’s hand stayed firm on my lower back as he guided me forward and unlocked a heavy door with a biometric scanner. The playroom was bigger than I expected. Elegant, not sterile. Black and deep crimson tones. A large four-poster bed with restraint points. A St. Andrew’s cross against one wall. An array of implements displayed like art—floggers, paddles, canes of varying thickness, ropes coiled with precision. In the corner, a padded bench. Hooks in the ceiling. The air smelled faintly of leather and sandalwood. I walked slowly through the space, trailing my fingers over the smooth wood of a spanking bench. My heart raced. The sight that greeted me made my breath hitch. I found myself in an empty ballroom. Vast and luminous, with a high arched ceiling painted like the night sky... constellations twinkling in silver just like the moon and stars. Maybe Shea was right. Lysander is a moon freak after all. I giggled at my thought. The floor gleamed like glass, and in one corner sat a grand piano, its black surface reflected the light like a mirror. Beside it stood a violin on a slender stand, resting carefully across it.

Eric said before hugging me tightly then followed by Jenna. "You guys rented the whole playground for me?" I asked in disbelief. Jenna nodded with a big smile. "Yeah!" Jenna replied pushing me inside, Eric following beside us. When I looked back before we entered, Alex had already disappeared. Everyone I know is inside, starting from friends from my school and some people from Alex's pack that I know. This playground is not too big but quite complete, several balloons decorate around the playground from merry-go round to bumper cars. The smell of caramel popcorn and cotton candy fills the air. I couldn't hold back the big smile that appeared on my face, for a moment I forgot my troubles.
