Siren Blink Novels & Stories

Three coordinates already glowed across the screen. Now a fourth appeared beside them. A new red signal. Bright. Sharp. Blinking against the darkness like something deep beneath the ocean had finally opened its eyes.

It's almost like pulling the day's weight over your head. I jump on my bed and flip the switch on the night lamp beside me,turning it off. "Good night Troy." I mumble to myself. * I wake up to the sound of deafening sirens blaring out of the security alarm systems. I snap my eyes open and pull the covers away from my body. The security bulb in my room is blinking a red light,corresponding with the sounds disturbing the entire building. It's going to be blinking that same way in every other room as well.

Silen. He’s sitting at the edge of the indoor fountain, long legs stretched out, dark blue hair dripping water down his shoulders. He hums softly to himself, a sound too beautiful for this cursed place. The melody winds through the air like smoke, softening everything it touches. It is a song that only a siren could produce. Bubbles immediately flattens her ears. I scoop her up before she can hiss. “Behave,” I whisper. Silen looks up when I approach, his eyes look like the ocean before a storm. “Morning, Aria,” he says, voice smooth as the song he was just humming. “You survived the night, I see.”

We are talking about the sirens. Just like humans, there were many different types of sirens: males and females who took pride in their fish tails of different shapes and colours; and among all of them, there was one that stood out the most, thanks to her beauty, pale skin, bright aquamarine tail and vibrant pink hair. Her name was Marina.

“I even put her on this week’s flyers last-minute. If I can make her feel the money tonight, I’m hoping she’ll sign on permanently.” I flip through the stack and freeze dead. “Oh shit.” “Blaze?” “I’m not saying fire her or refuse service or anything dramatic,” I say, lowering my voice. “Just a heads-up. This is Siren. Echo’s old lady, or about to be if he survives the week without committing felony-level property damage.” She pales. “I didn’t know.” “It’s fine. Let her dance. She’s clearly enjoying her little week of freedom without Echo breathing down her neck.”

Calyx felt that's she's strong as well. Calyx glanced at his friend, Sirene. Sirene was now tall. Although not as tall as him, she's still taller than an average woman. Calyx knew that a lot had changed during those four years. She's still noisy like before. She's stronger, and the way she fights using something he doesn't know what to call. Sirene used a weapon that was not familiar to him. Every time Sirene clicked something, an explosion sound will come out. Sirene's hair was black as well as her eyes, but Calyx knew the true color of her hair and eyes. He looked at her wrist and saw the familiar bracelet that Sirene used to change her hair and eyes.

It was the sound of the void, the note that existed before the first "Let there be light." A total =A Siren ⋅sin(ωt)+A Void ⋅sin(ωt+π) In the air, the two waves met. The Siren Note was a structured, crystalline weapon; Xander’s counter-melody was a chaotic, crushing weight. Where they collided, the air physically cracked. Sparks of blue and gold lightning arced between the pillars, and the quartz walls began to spiderweb with fractures.

I saw him lighting another candle. I took a deep sigh. “Are you-” “Is the scent not that nice?” He cut me off. “Better if you’ll stop lighting another one doc, we're not summoning some devils to have our ritual with that bunch of candles.” I crossed my legs comfortably before presenting the innocent eyes and seducing lips. I’m obtainable seductive and siren inside out, I want to finish this man right here, right now. When would they give me a signal to kill him now? I’m running out of patience, tsk. Doc. Jairo Black, what did you do to make them think you were an enemy?

I threw my arm out to stop Finn and held my finger up to my mouth to indicate silence. “Well, well little Siren… I didn’t expect to see you again…”
