When she came back, she looked fresher, calmer—but damn, those eyes still carried heat. I leaned against the bar, keeping it casual. “Look, about the dress—” I lifted my hand, palm open. “Didn’t mean to ruin your night.” She gave me a small smile, almost playful. “Don’t worry. I’m fine.” Fine. Yeah right. Nothing about her looked fine. She looked dangerous, like temptation stitched into skin. “So…” I tilted my head, studying her face. “You Nyx’s sister or something?” Her lips curved slowly, like she enjoyed keeping me guessing. “Not just her sister. Her twin.”

She jokes. I gasp and put my hand to my heart, pretending that she’s wounded me. She swats me on my arm and I smile as I head home. I need to fill everyone in and what’s going on anyways. My sister, even though we are twins, won’t rule with me since we are fraternal twins. She will still be a part of the meeting though. She’s going to be my beta unless she finds her mate somewhere out there.

Clara’s hands began to shake. Another message appeared beneath it. I can still feel your hands on me. The phone nearly slipped from Clara’s fingers. Her breathing became uneven. This wasn’t just suspicion anymore. This was proof. Clara leaned against the counter as a wave of dizziness hit her. Her own sister. Her own sister had written those words. Years have passed and things have changed" Adrian ignored the faces and just walked straight to the coffin and picture at the front. Adrian held his hands before him and bowed, paying his respect to Dubois' sister, the woman who still looked at Adrian with a bit of warmth in her eyes. After Adrian was done, he turned around to leave.

Mom answers. I sigh and make way towards the door. "Give me five minutes." I say, knowing every minute spent here makes us later for our flight. I walk up the stairs. "Halsey?" I call. I finally get to her bedroom and breathe before turning the knob. I find her curled up in her bed, soflty crying. "Halsey..." I call in a whisper. She looks up and immediately rushes to hug me. I hold her tightly in my arms and kiss her on her forehead. "I'm sorry for everything. I was just upset. You'll always be my sister, no matter what. I love you." She says through her tears.

Faye lifted her head in Mom's arms, her voice weak as she asked, "Who is she, Mom? Did you have another kid? Is that why you never came looking for me all these years?" Only then did Mom realize I was still standing there. She gave me a sheepish smile and patted Faye's shoulder. "Faye, this is your sister, Audrey." "Hi," I said, offering a smile. To my surprise, Faye's face went pale. She pulled back into Mom's arms, holding her even tighter. "No… That can't be right. They told me I didn't have a sister. She—" I knew what she was getting at and interrupted her, "I was born in the same hospital as you. I'm an orphan, so Mom and Dad adopted me."

She said confused. Sharon said fast, "I didn't know you were together." "I had no idea you had met him until you brought he home." Bitterly laughing, Isabella started to cry. "You're kidding, right? This needs to be some sort of twisted joke." "It's not," Davis remarked softly. "No," Isabella exclaimed, violently shaking her head. "No, this isn't logical. You shared a bed with my sister?
