No Cure For The Poisoned World

No Cure For The Poisoned World

Duke Astra
The evening air was biting cold, sending shivers down Cole's spine. She was sure she'd turn into an icicle when, without warning, Vincent gently scooped her up. A soft gasp escaped her lips as he settled them both across the length of the bed, pulling her close as he draped an extra blanket over their entwined forms. A warm blush bloomed across Cole's cheeks as she became acutely aware of their intimate position. But Vincent, with his steady composure, seemed entirely unbothered, simply relaxing into the bed’s softness. "Get some sleep," he murmured, his voice a soothing rumble that resonated in her chest. Sensing her gaze, he added, "The power will be back on once the damage is repaired. So… just stay close to me until then." Cole took a deep breath, willing her racing heart to calm. Slowly, she let herself melt into his embrace, resting her head on his broad chest. The faint scent of spring blossoms and cypress swirled around her, a fragrance that felt both comforting and familiar. She nestled closer, the warmth of his body chasing away the chill as sleep began to tug at her eyelids. With each steady beat of his heart, Cole felt a sense of peace she hadn't known she needed. She smiled softly, the rhythm of his heartbeat the most beautiful melody, lulling her into the comfort of dreams. As survivors of a collapsed society, a group of doctors are the world's last hope for a cure. In order to protect each other and the future, they've worked in secret. Preserving resources which become scarcer year after year. Among these survivors, a pair of doctors endure challenges as a deadly contagion spreads. Against better judgment, an unexpected bond develops between them and their patient.

Happy that I came across this book, where it portrayed the emotions of a woman when she is going through an abusive marriage. Loved the ending where she decides to move on in her life rather than to give 2nd chance to her abusive husband, which he doesn't deserve either. Hoping for more such stories

loved the book, it was such a emotional roller-coaster ride. The character Kaushalya will always stay in my mind because she isn't a fictional character anymore. Sanjiv and Ram are two totally different characters and I loved how author showed their flaws. though I'm in love with Ram. thanks author.

Bastard Ex, Your Ex Wife is Married To Her Brother

Bastard Ex, Your Ex Wife is Married To Her Brother

I loved and followed him around like a puppy for eight years until finally he noticed me. Hearing him ask me to be his wife was a dream come true. A fairytale. Or so I thought. Three years of marriage meant nothing to Nash. After trying everything I could to make him love me, I realized she never left his heart and was merely with me because I was a Callahan and that came with power. Because one night, he returned home with his first love and their son. My world shattered in silence, every dream I held onto crashing and burning to ashes. Sidelined and forced to watch him shower her with love and tenderness, I had no choice but to divorce him. “Why don’t you go back to your brother? He has always shielded you and would cut Nash to pieces if he knew what he had done,” My best friend told me. She was right. My brother loved me more than life. Growing up, I was his little angel who never lacked anything. But foolishly, I betrayed him once, and nothing has been the same between us since. What I didn’t know was…he never left. He had been watching over me all along. I planned to fix things and do right by him. Even with my ex-husband crawling back in regret and tears, I was sure I was going to make the choice I should have made eight years ago. The right one, but I must be cursed because I end up falling for another man I can never have. We love each other, but Society forbids it, and if what we do behind closed doors goes out there, it will ruin us. Will I lose him, too, or will we risk it all?

The Betrayed Werewolf Princess's Redemption

The Betrayed Werewolf Princess's Redemption

My company had arranged a wilderness survival retreat deep in the heart of Moonshadow Forest—a place where even seasoned wolves tread cautiously. That night, a sudden downpour ripped through the campsite, drenching the earth and filling the air with the thick scent of damp moss and shifting soil. I woke abruptly, the cold seeping into my bones. Instinctively, I reached out to the space beside me, seeking the warmth of my mate. Empty. A sharp pang of unease clawed at my chest. My wolf, dulled by the suppressant herbs I had taken to blend into human society, stirred restlessly. Fumbling in the darkness, I grabbed my phone and dialed Nigel. The line barely had time to connect before he emerged from the undergrowth—disheveled, breathless. His grip was iron-tight as he seized my wrist, pulling me downhill. His scent was sharp with adrenaline, but beneath it—something foreign, something wrong. We ran, my boots sinking into the mud. My keen vision caught glimpses of his rumpled clothing, the way his collar was misaligned—and the faint imprint of lips on his jaw. My pulse pounded in my ears. Betrayal. I wrenched my arm from his grasp, my claws itching to unsheathe despite the human form I forced myself to maintain. "Where were you?" My voice came out low, edged with the danger of a wolf barely leashed. The suppressants in my bloodstream faltered under the weight of my fury. The storm had driven everyone into their tents, leaving the clearing eerily silent as we reached the base of the mountain. But she was there. A woman stood beneath the flickering glow of the emergency lanterns, her hair tousled, her fingers gripping Nigel’s jacket as if it belonged to her. I knew her. The new intern. Her face held an unsettling resemblance to mine, as if the Moon Goddess herself had carved her from the shadows of my reflection. The realization struck like a silver dagger to my chest. Even the mate who had once sworn to fight the world for me had given in to betr
