When I pushed open the heavy glass door of the Nightshade Tattoo Studio, the wind chime above it rang out in a crisp cascade of sound. Henry Kane sat on a tall stool behind the workstation, wearing a black mask as he lowered his head and sketched. The air-conditioning ran cold inside the shop, carrying a faint blend of disinfectant and sharp tobacco. It was an unmistakable scent that belonged only to him. At the sound, he did not even look up; only the pencil in his hand paused for a brief moment.

“It has my scent on it. That’ll keep any unwanted males away.” I scoff, slipping the shirt over my head. “There are no guys around.” He arches a brow. “Ryder and some warriors are tracking the area, making sure it’s safe. Meanwhile, I followed your scent straight to you.” His expression hardens. “Now, tell me what happened.” I take a deep breath, my gaze lifting toward the sky. “Did you see it?” I ask, almost in awe. “It was dark blue instead of red.” Elijah frowns, following my gaze, but the sky has already returned to its usual blood-red hue.

Sky asked. " Ahhh if he doesn't know, he'll love to find out today " Theo teased me. " Very funny, Peterson. Why don't you concentrate on your project?” " You said yourself that he was after Alicia to get laid, why not with you? " Sky teased me. I shot her an amused look before turning my attention back to my miniature painting. " If you look at it that way, then you're more his type. Thin, delicate," I sneered, "besides, the guy who picked out my ribs to get a tattoo just so I could feel pain doesn't deserve to get laid with me.”

Suddenly I see Tate’s car pull in behind us, blocking Drakes in. Drake looks up and smiles at him as Tate hops down. My eyes trailed over him. He only had a tank top on and camouflage pants. He also had tribal tattoos running up his arms and I could just see them across his chest where his tank top exposed his skin. He looked vastly different from when I last saw him, how both of them changed so much over a couple of years astounded me. Tate wastes no time rushing over, a huge grin on his face like all his Christmases came at once.

Tate says sulkily, looking at Maeve and Meadow. “Actually, I do,” Maeve says, just as I’m about to suggest that he come help me with….something. I don’t know what I was going to suggest, but I can already tell that Tate needs a male role model in his life. He lost his parents at 10 and he’s been living with two older sisters that have been barely salvaging their little family. He’s going through puberty and probably too embarrassed to talk to Maeve about anything to do with the changes in his body. I’ll have to ask Maeve what he likes to do. If I’m going to be mated to his sister, that makes him my brother and I want us to have a good relationship.

"Sierra belongs to me, Drake. Don't you dare come near her." A smirk played upon his face as he found himself sprawled on the ground, defeated. Without further delay, I climbed into my car and drove off, leaving him behind.

Drax, made from wild fungi and ethanol, was banned within the city limits but could be legally purchased and consumed in the Drock. Mother’s message was particularly relevant today, as my age now permitted me entry. Her second message was not to take unnecessary risks on the ice peaks I planned to climb, a message she knew I always ignored. The third was one I had received continually since my early childhood: “Skye, do not, under any circumstances, exercise your powers and bring attention to yourself.” I had asked why many times, only to receive the same answer. “Because I forbid it.” Or, as I grew older, “Because we have a special ability that can be dangerous and must be concealed.”

Skye was going hysterical, her hair is a mess and her face looks so confused as she shouted at us, "What did you do to me? Why can't I remember why I'm doing all this in the first place?" Soon, Skye spotted Lyanna and lunged her attacks at her but Tate catches Skye's blade with his bare hands yet he doesn't bleed instead it showed a black aura oozing from his hand, Skye smirked, "What is a demon like you doing here Tate? You're not allowed to interfere with other creatures' affair, especially here at the fairies' den so why don't you file down those horns and step aside?" Tate released his full demon form with that darkness consuming everything that he was and those eerie white pupils glared

I was surprised he still hadn't taken it out. "Why do you keep coming to me, Tate?" Sky said with a groan when he saw me at his doorstep. "What can I say? We're soulmates after all. We have such a strong connection so much so that life keeps bringing us back to each other." I shrugged. "I'd rather suck your dad's dick than hear you say that again," Sky responded with a straight face. His sense of humour was still intact and so was mine. "I doubt there's much of it to suck anyway. The old man's been gone for too long," I replied dryly.

she yelled after me. I walked into the kitchen to see Blake standing in front of the sink, his hands soapy up to his forearms as he dipped them back into the sink. He had on a tight white tee that showed off his rippling back muscles as he moved around the kitchen. My tongue darted out to wet my lips and I gulped at the sight. I stalked over to him, making sure to be quiet so he wouldn't notice and grabbed his ass, making him jerk in fright.
