He had neat black hair and deep, gray-green eyes that held a hint of inquiry, as well as undisguised admiration. "Miss Isolde," he bowed his head slightly, his voice a low rumble. "I am Lucien, new Lord of the Crimson Moon. For what it's worth, thank you for your mercy. And... congratulations on your freedom."

When Cassian left, Lucienne returned to the window. Outside, the staff were setting up the grand pavilion. Tables draped in white, crystal glasses catching the afternoon sun. A party for people who mattered. And he, the hidden son, the ghost twin, would be there too.

Aeron is already pacing and for a second, I let out a chuckle. “What’s so funny?” Aeron asks. “If this is a long labour then you might actually learn some patience for once.” I reply. Cain laughs but Aeron just shakes his head and then another contraction hits and I flinch feeling like it’s some sort of karma. “It won’t be a long labour, Luna.” Axel says. “Not with Lycans.” I look from him to Lexie who’s giving a sympathetic smile. “What does that mean?” “It’s just not how it goes.”

His hair was pulled back, his expression already grim. “Alpha. You called,” he said, stopping beside me, bowing slightly. “We have a problem,” I replied. He snorted softly. “We always do.” “This one has a name.” That wiped the hint of humor from his face. “Rey,” I said. A few seconds had barely passed after I agreed when the door opened and a tall, lanky man with shrewd eyes and shaggy hair confidently strolled in, stopping short when he spotted me and the Lycan King. “Damian, wh-what is…?” The man stammered, his eyes bouncing from me to Damian. The Lycan King casually slid up next to me, placing a hand on my waist and grinned. “Lucas, this is Aviana, my Luna!”
