I pulled the quilt up to my chin and sank deeper into my pillow. "Let me tell you a bedtime story." Riley lay beside me and slipped his arm around my shoulder. "How about I tell you the story of the three pigs? After all, I need to practice telling stories to the baby." "Okay." I chuckled, looking up at him expectantly. "Once upon a time, three little pigs lived in a forest..." When Riley was done with the fairy tale, he started singing lullabies in an effort to get me to fall asleep. While his voice wasn't amazing, it was calming.

“You know you’re gonna fall off that edge, right?” God, I roll my eyes so hard I nearly see my brain. I’m just praying sleep will smack me unconscious before he gets annoying, but nope,my body’s wide awake just to spite me. Bed shifts. Crap, he’s moving. Suddenly the pillow’s flying off, I sit up, “What're you doing, Sam?” “Relax. Wanna cuddle, that’s all.” Yeah, sure, and I’m the Queen of England. “Uh huh. What if something-”

Sleep was seldom elusive for Ash. The comforting presence of Julie, nestled beside him each night, typically lulled him into a peaceful slumber. Tonight, however, was an exception. The clock had struck eleven, and sleep remained a distant dream, an anomaly in his otherwise predictable routine. Ash, being a mature man, was naturally attuned to Julie's actions, especially when they deviated from the norm. Her recent indulgence in animated adult content, and her unabashed sharing of the details, had certainly been out of the ordinary. The fact that she had chosen to share this just before bedtime had left him feeling somewhat unsettled. It would have been strange if he hadn't reacted at all.

I whispered with a loving smile, “Which story would you like tonight?” Mike’s face lit up with excitement, his tiny hands reaching for his favorite book. “The one about the brave little wolf, Mumma!” I chuckled as I opened the book, a captivating story about a young wolf’s rand adventure. Mike listened with rapt attention, his eager eyes fixed on the pages as I spun the tale of bravery and exploration. By the time I reached the part where the little wolf found solace under the silvery glow of the moon, my son was already fast asleep.

The night was a sanctuary where dreams took flight, where love knew no boundaries, and where the whispers of stories past and future echoed in the silent spaces between sleep and wakefulness. With a soft smile on her lips, Mama Hazel surrendered to the embrace of sleep, her heart filled with the echoes of tales untold, dreams yet to be dreamed, and the infinite beauty of a world where love and imagination reigned supreme. In the sanctuary of the night, she found peace, joy, and the gentle promise of a new day filled with the magic of storytelling and the enduring power of love.

A beautiful story, full of mysticism and feelings not forgotten. My eyes began to close themselves, I looked at the clock, and it was already 12 in midnight. “I’ll polish it up tomorrow,” I said to myself out loud. I got up, went over to the bed, and fell into a deep sleep. The daylight woke me up. I let out a long yawn, I was still very tired, and I still had to put some finishing touches on the story, so I decided to take a shower.

"I know you're awake, so get up." She groaned sleepily. "James, please, I fell asleep at three o'clock in the morning, so could you please shut up and let me sleep?" she asked, hugging the pillow beside her. "And it's not my fault you didn't go to bed early; we already talked about it, so don't give me that reason. Will you stand there, or will I drag you to the bathroom?" James threatened. She moaned once more. Damn, this jerk! Despite her love for him, there are times when she just wants to torture him. Does he not notice how sleepy I am?

They seem to forget that we were just sleeping beside one another and I would easily feel either of them rising from the mat that we were lying down on if they tried to even move. +++++++++++ That being said, we hope you enjoyed our simple tale of terror. I should lie down and go to sleep, but I want to peek around. I know I shouldn’t because Brent is helping me, and being nosy is no way to repay his kindness. But I’m not tired. I was until I got caught in the bathroom, and since then, the adrenaline won’t let me sit still. Now I’m wide awake and wondering why this man is helping me. Besides, would it count as being nosy if I’m the new office girl?

He watched every second, jaw tight, eyes locked on my lips stretched around the thick toy. “Good girl,” he murmured. “Now tell me the truth. How many times have you come with my name on your lips while Jenna slept ten feet away?” “Hundreds,” I admitted, voice completely wrecked. “Every time she left the apartment. Every night you stayed over for Christmas. I’d lock myself in the bathroom or wait until she was asleep and finger myself until I couldn’t walk, whispering ‘Daddy’ into my pillow so no one would hear how badly I needed you.”
