“Lana is on the phone.” I paused, staring at her phone. My hand lifted softly and it shook as I took her phone. “Hello, Lana?” I gulped, waiting. “Ma’am,” Lana called from the other side. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I had to come back home for a family emergency. Anna will cover my spot and I will be back as soon as possible.” She kept going while I listened in shock. “Ma’am, are you there?” She asked.

Seeing the smirk on her face, I felt an urge to rip her lips off of her face. "Huh! Sometimes, I feel pity for you. You have been seducing Alpha Zeus since you were a baby. But after all those years, he chose me over you. I have been around him all the time. But look at you. He hardly spares a glance at you. That too I take away as it mostly happens when I am around." Lana spoke in a taunting tone while staring at me. I took a step backwards and stared at her from head to toe. She was wearing a crop top that was hardly covering her chest. She stared past me, probably to the bodies laying there. I lifted her chin back to me. “Hey. Don’t.
