Excited, I am about to run over to the nearest boulder when, suddenly, the ground gives way beneath me, and I find myself tumbling into a dark pit. Ouch, I whisper, standing up to reorient myself and brushing the dust off my clothes. Panic grips me when I realize that the pit is too deep and there is no way for me to get out by myself. The mouth of the pit has closed up again from what looks to be a cover of branches. It looks like it was a trap set for hunting animals and I have fallen right into it. Just when I am afraid I will start to hyperventilate from the fear of being trapped, I hear a groan.
