The moment he saw Snow lean in and kiss Marcus, something inside him snapped. His fingers tightened around the glass, his knuckles turning white. Without a second thought, he hurled it at the large mirror in his room. *CRASH!* The loud shattering sound echoed through the house. Marcus immediately pulled away from the kiss, his body tensing. Snow flinched, her eyes wide with fear. "W-What was that?" she asked nervously. Marcus hesitated, his eyes flickering toward the house. He didn’t want Snow to worry, so he forced a smile.

Snow—my white wolf with cold blue eyes—lifted her head. The witch froze. Good. Even without speaking, Snow radiated lethal grace. My body felt heavier, stronger, and wild. Every instinct sharpened. My paws touched the floor with silent promise. The witch’s fingers twitched, drawing runes in a desperate attempt to defend herself, but Snow was already moving. A blur of white. A sharp snap of bones. A wet crack. In the span of a breath, Snow lunged at her, jaws stretching wide. Teeth sank into the witch’s neck and tore through flesh and bone with merciless precision.

Acting like he didn't know who I was, he shoved me aside and carried the young woman down from the car. She sensed my anger and grew so terrified that she buried her pale face in Harrison's arms and sobbed. "Harrison, that woman must be very angry. I'm scared." Harrison glanced at me with a hostile expression before looking at the secondhand car nearby. Smirking, he declared, "It's just a rusty old Volkswagen Beetle! It's not like I can't afford to pay for the damages." He tossed a business card at me with a flourish of his hand and continued, "Just let me know when you get the bill for the repairs."

I appreciated his reassurance, but the thought of stepping out into that storm, pelted by snow and buffeted by freezing winds, just to get my ass handed to me on the cold ice during a game was overwhelming.
