I stalk closer, past trees and rocks, and then lunge at the bush—only to hear a squeal. My eyes widen, and then I land on the ground to stare at the weird creature blinking up at me. It's a bunny boy with quivering lips. He is blonde and cute with a human-like face and body, but there are white ears on his head. Perhaps I should shape-shift back to ask him where I am and how I get back to my world? I'm about to do that, but the bunny boy gulps and screams, "Don't eat me!" before blowing up in purple smoke.

A pink bunny stood in front of the elevator doors, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a large note in the other. What in the actual fuck is this? He hopped towards me, bringing the flowers out to me. She held out her bunny, its button eyes staring blankly. "Your eyes are the same color as Snowball’s!" she blurted, a small smile tugging at her lips. "They're really pretty. You're really pretty!" A shaky laugh slipped from me before I could catch it. "Thank you," I said softly. "Snowball is really cute too." Lexi giggled, elbowing Aria lightly. "See? I told you she'd be nice."

Sure enough, by evening, Jonathan arrived as promised—his punctuality as precise as ever. Snowball, the enormous white Samoyed that Alexander had brought into her life, was lying lazily near the garden steps. When Serena tried to loop a leash around his neck to make Jonathan’s task easier, she discovered every leash in the house was far too small for the fluffy giant. “Mr. Potter,” Serena said apologetically, holding up a delicate leather strap that barely fit around her own wrist, “I’ll have someone run to the mall and buy a larger one.”
