Divorce Me Once, Your Loss

“All he wanted was the woman he could never have - my sister. So he and his family treated me like nothing. Now the tables have turned and revenge they say, is a drink best served cold.” *** One year ago, Brianna Page escaped the suffocating grip of her marriage to Nico Armani, a union that had reduced her to a mere shadow of her former self. Treated like a nobody by her husband and maltreated by his family, Brianna's almost nonexistent spark had been all but extinguished, snuffed out and scattered like the autumn leaves in gusts of wind. Now, she is a different woman altogether, a force to be reckoned with. The timid, submissive bride is gone, replaced by a confident, powerful entrepreneur who's built a small empire of her own. As the owner of a thriving company, Brianna has finally found her voice and her freedom. Just as she is savoring her newfound independence, Nico shows up and drops a bombshell: their divorce couldn’t go through and they are required to live under the same roof for half of a year before it is official. Now she is hell-bent on exacting revenge on her husband and his family for all the pain they’ve caused her. She is determined, ready, and resolute in her revenge plan and it doesn’t matter now that Nico is willing to do whatever it takes to win her back, to prove his love and devotion. She has moved on, and she's not about to let him dictate her life again. Married At First Sight

Married At First Sight

He calls it madness, but she calls it love. When intense attraction struck them both in the dark after being trapped in a small cave during a raging tropical storm, he pursued her without inhibitions, turning their whirlwind romance into a tragic mistake in the end. He is the educated businessman and the hunk, while Maria, the illiterate, fat-ugly maiden, is his total opposite. A terrible choice that resulted in a forced marriage was made between them when everyone thought she was his victim. "Woman, if it means saving my life, I'll wholeheartedly marry you!" He snorted when he realized he couldn't blame her for it. "You have no idea how much I hated this forced marriage kahit walang namagitan sa'tin kagabi." "Pero Benjamin—" Naiiyak man, abot hanggang langit naman ang pasasalamat ng dalaga sa pagpayag niyang maikasal sila. "Papakasalan kita dahil ikaw ang katuparan ng pangarap ko. Hulog ka ng langit kagabi. Hindi ka na makakawala kahit ano pang sabihin mo dahil ikaw—ikaw ang itinadhana para sa'kin."

Thus far the book ... was compelling but disappointed that there is no ending to the novel. I planned on reading another book after this but with this experience why would I since there might not be and ending to that one as well! Bummer! Please do better so you don’t loose customers in the future.

Divorce Me Once, Your Loss

Divorce Me Once, Your Loss

Murder. That’s what the world called it. To him, it was mundane. My husband didn’t even blink while stabbing me twenty-seven times… Not even when he knew I was thirteen weeks pregnant with his child. I died. But fate is cruel. Crueler than him......Because it gave me another chance - a chance not to escape, but to finish the game. This time, I didn’t run. This time, I chose violence. I walked toward the man who would murder me in five years, looked straight into his pretentious eyes, and smiled. “Nicolas… let’s get married.” A smirk curled on my lips. Devil? He didn’t create one. He created me: Anna Fvcking Devile.

Mommy, Please Believe Me Once

Mommy, Please Believe Me Once

I was born a liar. That was the label my mother gave me. In the Dark Moon Pack, every pup carries a Lunar Mark on their wrist. Green means truth. Red means liar. My twin sister Maya slashed Mommy's ceremonial dress with a blade and blamed the pack hounds. Her wrist stayed soft and green. My mark went crimson when I said I was cold. "Mommy, I'm telling the truth. Please believe me." Elena would crouch down, look me in the eye, and say the same thing every time. "The Goddess's mark is absolute, Selena. Your own heart betrays you." She never touched me. She just looked at my wrist with disgust. No matter how honest I tried to be, my heart would race when I was scared. And every time my pulse spiked, the mark turned red. I lied when I said I was hungry. I lied when I said I loved her. I lied when I cried. After enough years, I stopped fighting back. I started to believe her. Maybe I really was broken. Maybe I was just born wrong. The night I died, I wrote one last line in my Penance Journal. "Mommy, help me. It hurts. Please — just believe me once." She never saw it. She had already locked the door and walked away. I'm sorry, Mommy. I died still trying to get it right. In my next life — will you hold me?

Life Wasn't Like This Once

Life Wasn't Like This Once

I've been married to Sylvia Fuller, a mafia donna, for ten years. I'm there with her in every life-and-death situation. My hands, which are meant for playing the piano, have developed calluses from using guns. They are also stained with blood from the enemies. But when Sylvia turns 28, she falls head over heels in love with Wilson Hink, the young man she's brought back from the slums. Sylvia has hidden him very well… right until the moment I bump into him accompanying her to a prenatal check-up. Mad with jealousy, I demand Sylvia for answers, but she just passes me a divorce agreement in a lackadaisical manner. "Wilson is a man of religion. He can't sire a child without getting married, so I have to give him a legitimate status. Sign this agreement, and I'll give you 40% of my shares." I refuse to give my position away, so Sylvia keeps forcing my hand. In the end, she even kidnaps my younger brother, who's paralyzed from waist down, and drags him to the spot beneath a hydraulic press. "Sebastian Chance, either you sign the agreement, or watch him get crushed. Your choice." I kneel on the ground and beg Sylvia to stop. But soon, I hear the hydraulic press being activated. It doesn't take long before I'm completely covered in my brother's flesh and blood. I end up collapsing onto the gore-splattered ground. When I open my eyes again, I realize I've gone back in time—back to the time when Wilson has accompanied Sylvia to the prenatal check-up. This time, I don't say anything. Instead, I contact a rehabilitation center located overseas before filing for a divorce and leaving Sylvia behind. But once I'm gone for real, Sylvia actually goes crazy.

I’m starting to lose interest. It started out interesting and exciting and now it’s dragging with filler chapters. No one knows how to actually have a conversation. So many things could’ve been cleared up with actually talking to each other.
Gena
so far I love how strong Sydney is and all she needs now is the devoted man to make everything else set in stone. she doesn't need a man but her having one completely devoted to her will make this story perfect, but it is really good so far.
