Mr. William's Rules
Adrian said without looking at William, his tone low, “you really trust her?”
William’s gaze swept over Sofia, calm but unreadable. He had always been a man of control—cold, calculated, relentless. And now, even in this moment, he didn’t waver. “We don’t have the luxury to debate this. If she can get that door open, we take the chance.”
Adrian exhaled through his nose, clearly unhappy, but obeyed. “Fine. But I’m watching her.”
Sofia knelt at the control panel, pulling out a compact device from her pocket. Her hands moved fast, wires connecting, lights flickering. “Keep them off me,” she said sharply. “This door has a shock countermeasure—I mess up, we’re all fried.”
