Living With My Lady Boss

Living With My Lady Boss

Staying here could potentially bring disaster again. He believed the best course of action was to proceed to the fourth level. Wilbur then entered the fourth level of the magical tower without further hesitation. With a flash of white light, Wilbur found himself on the fourth level of the magical tower. When he opened his eyes again, he was standing on an endless expanse of grassland, which seemed calm and serene. Just as Wilbur was puzzled by the sight, the ground suddenly began to shake violently. Wilbur noticed a flock of sheep in the distance. They frantically fled in all directions, but as the sheep ran, massive green vines shot up from the ground. Each vine possessed immense strength,

MATED TO THE STUBBORN HUMAN

MATED TO THE STUBBORN HUMAN

“Barely.” I offered my hand. “Then lean on me.” She took it, her grip weak but determined. Kael returned, eyes grim. “Bombs are set. We’re ready.” “Then let’s give Zerathos something to remember.” We filed out of the tower, our wounded behind us, Ava and I leading the front, our boots crunching over ash and bone. The moment we reached the gate again, I gave the signal. And the tower exploded. Fire and stone rained from the sky, illuminating the darkness like a second sun. A chunk of the tower crashed into the Forge’s battlements, setting off a chain reaction of smaller explosions where we’d left bombs earlier. The top of the forge gave way and we could see the sky.

“You’re playing.” “I don’t even know the rules!” “Exactly — makes it fair.” Seris, Ruby, and Alex gathered at the tower challenge, Phoenix and Lucian already arguing over who was going first. The table glowed faintly beneath their fingers as they began placing stones, the colors pulsing with each perfectly timed placement. “Focus,” Alex warned, watching the twins. Phoenix narrowed his eyes and balanced a glowing red rune on top of a blue. “Ha! Beat that.” Lucian shook his head, carefully placing a yellow stone — which vibrated briefly before stabilizing the tower with a satisfying click.

The Cultivator's Revenge

The Cultivator's Revenge

After a full day of marching through the monotonous and miserable landscape of the Bone Desert, they finally saw it. From behind the last mountain peak, the Obsidian Tower soared to the sky. It was not a building, but a curse frozen in stone. A colossal pillar of jet-black rock whose surface gleamed like wet glass, so tall its pointed peak pierced the purple clouds above. The tower seemed to absorb all light and hope from its surroundings, radiating an oppressive aura thick with pure evil. The aura it emitted alone was enough to make an ordinary cultivator fall to their knees from the spiritual pressure.

The Trillionaire System

The Trillionaire System

It tasted like something between medicine and celebration. Down below, the first Reader’s Bench opened under the archway by the plaza. Cira stood with a ledger and a smile that promised patience. A woman brought a contract for flour. A man brought a letter he’d been afraid to open. A child brought nothing and asked to hear the rules again because the cadence made her less afraid of the dark. The shield held. The vine climbed. The cracks showed—honest, fixable, human. Night settled and the mesh hummed soft. At Tower 5, a lamp burned steady where polished boots had stood. The breeze lifted the green leaf flag and laid it down again, over and over, like a heartbeat practicing trust.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Cracks appeared along the tower walls. The black creature roared in response. The sound shattered more glass. Peanut cried out and covered her ears. The puppies whimpered. Even Cookie looked terrified. Then suddenly— the journal flipped open. Pages flying wildly. Ink appearing rapidly. A new message formed. SAMUEL CANNOT DO THIS ALONE. The room froze. Then another sentence appeared. THE HEIR MUST ENTER THE TOWER. Silence. Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Then Thomas looked down. Slowly.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

He Fell in Love After I Got Cancer

He Fell in Love After I Got Cancer

The flowers sagged like forgotten promises. Jolene stood alone at the altar, fists clenched at her sides. Her mother approached. “We can recover. Spin it. Blame her again.” Jolene’s lips curled. “I’m tired of pretending.” “Then fight,” her mother hissed. “Take back what’s yours.” Jolene’s eyes darkened. --- Far beyond the borders, Allan reached the old watchtower and paused. Rain poured off the roof. He slid from the saddle, pulling the parchment from his cloak.
