Lycans of Lunar Isle
A surge of tourists approached the crosswalk, and I eased off the gas, slowing to a gentle stop.
That’s when I saw her—a woman walking with two dogs. One brown, one white. The brown one was squat like a beagle, and was tugging on its leash, nose to the ground. The white one wasn’t leashed at all.
My gaze locked onto it. The dog turned its head toward me, and for just a heartbeat its eyes glowed crimson.
I blinked hard.
More people passed through the crosswalk, momentarily blocking my view. When they cleared, the woman and her dogs were already further along, a distant speck in the crowd.
