Minutes later, Emily descended, her elegance captivating. Lucas’s gaze locked onto hers, his eyes tracing every curve, Emily’s cheeks flushed and she shyly looked away. He was amazed, she looked absolutely beautiful. She had soft natural makeup on which did a great job enhancing her already elegant features. She was wearing a lightweight, pastel blue dress that fell gracefully to her knees with simple silver earrings that complemented the understated necklace she was wearing. Her hair was styled in loose waves that perfectly framed her small face. “Do I not look okay?” Emily asked, uncertain with the way Lucas stared at her.

And then, I found her. I opened the picture. Emily was gorgeous. She had blonde hair, white skin and I couldn't make out her eye color. Blake looked more than happy with her. I bit my lip as I felt jealousy making it's way in my system. I clicked on her profile. I looked at her pictures to find that she had blue eyes. She had a model's body. She was of my age and she looked like a model while I used to look like a potato. Maybe that was the reason why Blake dated her. There were more photos of her and Blake. They made a happy couple.

Is it another gift? She rubbed her eyes and opened it up to find a gown. Pulling it out from the box, she stood up and laid it on the bed to get a better look at it. It was a cerulean blue open back gown with marshmallow white ombre at the bottom with white flowers embroidery vertically on top. It was a rather simple yet stunning design. Clara had never said it out loud but blue was actually one of her favorite color, as an artist, she was not supposed to have a single favorite color but if she had to choose, she would go with blue over and over again.

Tonight, that legacy was turning seventy. I looked across the tables set out with fresh flowers and gold-rimmed plates and spotted Emily, laughing at something Damian had just whispered in her ear. I smiled without thinking. She was wearing a pale blue dress that floated when she walked, and her dark hair was pinned loosely, a few curls falling in front of her face. It was strange how quickly I had warmed to her. But then again, Emily wasn’t like Maya. Emily didn’t slither through rooms. She didn’t cast shadows or build alliances with secrets. She was genuine, thoughtful, and, most of all, kind.

Tiffany admitted, smoothing down the fabric, “but I actually kind of love it.” Riley clapped her hands excitedly. “See? I told you this would be fun! I bet Jabob will love it too.” Her heart skipped a beat at the mention of Jacob’s name. “He will probably tease me,” she mumbled. “You should tell him what color your dress will be so he can find something blue to complement you,” Riley went on. Tiffany opened her mouth to reply but stopped as she caught sight of a familiar group entering the store. Her stomach dropped. Emily and her posse had just walked in.

Caroline said, clicking her glass against Kayla’s as they giggled. “I am happy for you, sister. Can I see the gown that I would be wearing?” Emily said in a dry tone. “Oh, I got carried away” Kayla leaned beside her chair and pulled out a neon-green dress from a shopping bag. And handed it to Emily. “I can't wait to see you in that.” Kayla clapped her hand in excitement. Emily narrowed her eyes as she looked at the gown suspiciously. “Did mom approve of this color theme?” “What are you trying to say, Emily? That I have tacky taste,” Kayla folded her hand, glaring at Emily.

Mia was nowhere in sight and Emily knew that she was probably going to be alone for the rest of the night but that didn't matter, she was having so much fun. She pulled out a handkerchief from her purse and wiped off the sweat that had gathered between her brows, she closed her eyes for a quick second to live in the moment and when her eyes were shot open they were met by the most amazing blue eyes Emily had ever seen, it reminded her of the ocean when it was calm. "Where have you been my entire life?" His voice was sexily husky, it had a deep undertone to it, it was like he wasn't even putting in any efforts but yet it sounded like every word was carefully thought off.

All heads turned to see who had arrived. Emily Walton walked in with an air of confidence and poise that immediately commanded attention. Her dark, chestnut hair cascaded in soft waves down her back, catching the light and shimmering with a natural sheen. Her makeup was flawless, accentuating her striking features—a touch of smoky eyeshadow highlighting her piercing blue eyes, and a hint of blush enhancing her high cheekbones. Her lips, painted a deep, commanding red, curved into a polite but distant smile.

Her volumized, long, and thick lashes fluttered beautifully against her gorgeous blue eyes. Joshua gasped as it was indeed Emily.

She was wearing a delighted though evil smile on her face, so she must have gotten something she liked. Emily's turn came soon after, and she was given a bunch of denim and flannel. It looked like she was supposed to plan for a country western theme. This was not exactly her forte since she grew up in a big city, but she was sure that with a little inspiration from her favorite country singer Quinn Faines she would come up with something the likes of which people have never seen.
