Possessive gentleman

Possessive gentleman

Sir"?“ “What’s your name?” I ask again. “I thought I made it clear that you're to refer to me as 'Sir'. Don't make me remind you again, princess. You wouldn't want to get in trouble, would you?“ “No sir”,I flirt. The corners of the man's lips tick up in a smirk, his expression one of smug satisfaction at how easily i “submitted”. “Good. Now, that wasn't so hard, was it? You and I are going to get along just fine, you know.So long as you behave, anyway.“

The Bad Gentleman

The Bad Gentleman

I know this because I’m following his every movement, and I’m not even sure why. A silver Mercedes-Benz pulls up behind the SUV, and out of it alights a man, not younger than sixty, in a grey suit. The first thing I notice about the newcomer is that he’s fit for a man his age, he stands tall with the aura of a man who shouldn’t be trifled with. His salt and pepper hair and beard are well-groomed, an overall well put man. “Roman,” the man speaks, his face hardened with no life in his eyes. Christian, nonetheless, doesn’t seem to care, as if he knows his anger is greater than whatever the older man must be feeling.

CALL GIRL #1

CALL GIRL #1

“Really? No.” He pouted. “I’m not sure I know what to do with a woman who doesn’t fall at my feet.” “You act like a gentleman.” “Is that what they do nowadays? Bloody hell. I’m not a door-opening kind of guy. Unless it’s to my bedroom, of course. Then I’m as close to a gentleman as they come—if you ignore the rough bits around the edges.” He winked and handed the driver some money, telling him to keep the change.

Secrets of the Luna

Secrets of the Luna

“Ms. Grace?” A much more professional voice than I expected caught my attention. A very thin man walked in. He looked like a pipe cleaner with eyes. “Who are you?” I couldn’t help myself. “I am Sir Gerald. The family’s butler. They have requested your presence for lunch on the balacony. I am here to escort you, as so you don’t get lost.” There was a white towel hanging off his arm. The whole thing felt like something out of the movies.

I am in love. I see a little of Kristen in Grace with her clumsiness and her attitude. Overall, the story is well written. I love how Grace sticks up for herself even though her mouth can get her into trouble. I am curious how much of a hold her family truly has on her.

Love the book although the plot is just a repetition of Tattooed Luna with a few differences. Same storylines… FL with complicated childhood being hunted down by villain with Mafia ties and overprotective brother is also in the mix. Just too similar in my view. But enjoyable nonetheless.

To Love You Hurts

To Love You Hurts

“Mr. Landry, please stop. There is a crucial matter that I must discuss with you.” I stop dead in my tracks and turn to face this man, who seems to be filled with enthusiasm to catch a minute of my time. “You have one minute. Sixty seconds and not a second more.” I mutter as my gaze takes in his appearance. He's a gentleman of modest stature, in the prime of his life, with a distinguished hairline. He has a physique that resembles a bouncy castle made from doughnuts, and his suit has a charmingly worn-in look. The man's briefcase appears to have weathered the test of time, much like the lines etched on his forehead. His eyes have a certain glaze, hinting at th

ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW

ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW

She said apologetically and offered me a practiced smile that most men found seductive, but I didn’t. “What?” I asked, a little too sharply, in a demanding tone. I easily retracted when I found Genna frowning at me. Of the two of us, Damon was the more mild-mannered. “I am sorry.” I cleared my throat and continued. “What do you mean?” Genna seemed to get back on her track. She pouted and let her fingers slide on the front of my suit. “You know…” She shrugged. “Crude and lacking in manners.” Her words were cloyingly sweet, but you could taste the sharpness of the words she was trying so hard to coat with it.

Be Gentler, Sweetheart

Be Gentler, Sweetheart

I pulled away from the man’s arms and finally saw his face. I could not believe how handsome he was; it was almost surreal. I saw his name tag, which said, [Ryan Shaw.] Even his name sounded great. The man smiled gently. He looked like a gentleman and seemed completely out of place there. “No worries. “I work here. Instead of thanking me, why don’t you book me for the night?” All of a sudden, he leaned in. He grabbed a strand of my hair that was hanging over my shoulder and gently sniffed it.

Getting my ex-wife back

Getting my ex-wife back

He lowered his head and handed over the invitation to her respectfully. "You are..." Jenna looked at him in surprise. The young man in front of her looked solemn and serious, but his behavior was humble and polite. He had a distant yet competent demeanour, and maintained a suitable distance with others while still appearing to be courteous and well-mannered. Jenna could tell that he was no ordinary servant. In fact, it made her think of the bodyguards in black suits that served the American president. His actions showed that he was well-trained, modest, and polite. Jenna could guess that he didn't serve just anyone, but he seemed quite unfamiliar to her. She was sure that she had never met h

Be Gentle With Me, Mr. CEO

Be Gentle With Me, Mr. CEO

The decor of the house was punctuated with porcelain, ceramics, and paintings—making it appear all the more grand. A middle-aged man who was around 50 years old was seated on an antique mahogany chair. There was a pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, and he wore black pants with a white shirt, looking every inch like an important government official. Luckily, his features weren't as stiff as Mercer's, so he looked very easygoing when he smiled. Mercer strongly resembled the middle-aged man, who was obviously his father. In the living area a few feet away from him, Calla could see a lounge chair, where an elegant middle-aged woman was seated.

Ever since I picked up 'A Fine Gentleman', I couldn't help but be drawn to the protagonist, Sir John Hartwell. He's this charming yet flawed aristocrat who navigates Regency-era society with wit and a surprising depth of emotion. What I love about him is how he isn't just another cookie-cutter romantic lead—his dry humor masks a genuine kindness, especially in his interactions with the book’s heroine.

Hartwell’s arc is particularly satisfying because he starts off as this seemingly superficial dandy, but as the story unfolds, you see layers of vulnerability and loyalty. The way he grows from a man obsessed with appearances to someone who values substance really resonated with me. It’s rare to find historical romances where the male lead’s development feels as organic as Hartwell’s.
