He roughly pried her hand off his arm and growled, “Your ‘specimens’ are right over there. Go ask them yourself.”
With that, he turned on his heel and stormed off, not waiting for anyone.
Zoe pouted. “Aw, look at him. He’s sulking. How cute.” She turned back to the other two, offering a friendly, formal introduction. “Hi, guys. I’m Zoe. Thanks for coming along. We should probably get moving; the Boogeyman looks like he’s about to blow a fuse.”
And with that, she went skipped after Aaron, chirping away like a happy songbird.
