“Glow: Titan’s Descent” *Boom*

“You are ready.” She gave a small nod. “So is she.” The city lights glittered behind them as the night stretched on. Tomorrow the board would gather, and Claudia’s shadow would return in full force. Evelyn closed her eyes briefly, summoning the calm she would need. The storm had followed them back to Seoul. Tomorrow it would break again, not in whispers or old archives, but in the heart of Drake Tower itself.

The air seemed to vibrate with tension, heavy with the weight of unspoken words, as if the very act of destroying the knife had become a declaration of intent, a statement of my capabilities “Bold of you to assume we have provoked them at all.” Blaze said. My eyebrow arched upward in a subtle, inquiring gesture. “Cryomancers never attack unless provoked, it’s not in their nature.” My response was measured and neutral, carefully calibrated to avoid any hint of sarcasm or provocation. The screams of the refugees echoed up through the ventilation shafts. "I will peel away your sanctuary," Malik declared, his fists trembling with the sheer, astronomical effort of lifting a million tons of solid rock. "And I will expose your weakness to the sun." The roof of the Deep Warren began to bow upward. The solid bedrock was cracking, yielding to the unstoppable force of the Apex. Then, a localized sonic boom shattered the windows of the surrounding city blocks. Malik barely had time to turn his head. A streak of violet light tore through the courtyard of the Boma, moving at Mach 2.

Blaze discarded his ripped vest, donned another, ran a hand through his hair, and walked back to the gate. "They're an hour away, and..." Blaze didn't wait for Annalise to finish. He sprinted towards the nearest car, a white Porsche Panamera. "I'll come with you!" Annalise yelled. "No, stay back. If Sandro comes looking for me, tell him where I went," Blaze instructed. He reversed the car before speeding out of the opened gate. Arriving quickly, thanks to exceeding speed limits and encountering no traffic, Blaze found a safe spot to park the car. He jumped out, turned off the ignition, and rushed toward the silent pack house. It felt deserted, and his narrowed eyes scanned the surroundings.

A horn blared. Bright lights. Too close. And then… Boom.

“I can’t.” Alaric looked hurt by my words as his eyebrows crushed down. “Why?” “I don’t want to go,” I replied as Ace voice suddenly stopped. “You need medical treatment” Alaric insisted. “I’ll be fine.” “You’ll bleed out. You need it closed.” I turned toward Ace. Why was he suddenly silent? He stood behind the firemen with a look of rage pointed directly at me.
