SOUL BOUND

SOUL BOUND

Victor wanted to reluctantly argue, blinded by what was really happening but the next second his breath hitched in utter disbelief at the sudden occurrence flashing before him. “No… No!... im... impossible! It must be the drug… you must have released the fumes in here… yes! That has to be it… this was all part of your plan… have the others distract me… while you were secretly waiting to take me out…” The agitated man reasoned; clearly in denial as he stumbled backwards pressing on the wall behind him for support, his eyes intently glued to the scene of the glitching figure several steps ahead. “I… can assure you… this is no drug… and I am… Mike Rayburn… a soul with a vengeance.”

The Forgotten God

The Forgotten God

A flash of crimson lightening split the sky and a rush of fiery rain hammered the ground with force enough to crack it further. It lasted last than a minute, but the scalding heat was enough to calm him, his skin immune to the boiling fluid. It glistened on his body, steam trickling away like small spirits. The burn was sharp, stinging, eve though it left no mark, thrilling in its own way. "Come back, my dear hounds," he murmured "Thou art the flame I thrust down upon them. A flame deadly to body and soul, to word and shade. I, Master of the fire, prevail over thee, as you pierce their spirit and draw their end."

Creed uttered. "How do you know that?" Fang asked in a defensive tone, "Would you look at her?" Creed replied, ''Her soul is burning out!" Fang said nothing more. He kept looking at the sky with a build up anxiety. She had to pass through all otherwise it was all pointless. Aware of the treacherous nature of this one-way road to hidden paradise, she dragged herself toward the final burning membrane. Several beasts in the vicinity starting howling. As she moved closer, her soul started fading even faster, just like a wisp of smoke. The torment, the pain, the helplessness, the heat, everything was being incinerated into her soul. Yet, she kept moving forward.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

It was obvious that he had burned his spirit energy to the extreme. Burning one's soul was even more terrifying than self-detonation. Self-detonation still a chance to preserve one's soul. However, burning one's soul meant that it would never exist and would completely disappear. Rumble! With his roar, the barrier finally began to disperse. Although there was still a faint trace, Zephyr Khan could completely break it. "Young friend-go!" Looking at Zephyr Khan, Li Xuan growled in a low voice. "Senior! Zephyr Khan... Thank you!"

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?

For What Still Burns

For What Still Burns

I let her walk away from me when I should’ve fought harder. But seeing her tonight, smiling at someone else, that rewired something in me. I know her. I know her better than anyone. Better than he ever will. He’s not built for her. Not really. Not when things get hard. Not when she burns. And Aria burns. She deserves someone who won’t flinch. Someone who knows that love isn’t neat, or easy, or safe. It’s messy. Inconvenient. It takes your spine and snaps it in two. It sets your soul on fire and dares you to walk through the flames for it.

Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King

Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King

My soul. My fists were clenched and the flames in my chest was burning passionately, but the heat was no longer comforting me. My thoughts battled each one louder than the last, powerful than the other, like I was on fire. It felt like a fire trying to consume me. This wasn’t just about saving Fabian or the kingdom, it was about me, about keeping hold of myself

CROWNED BY BLOOD

CROWNED BY BLOOD

The Trial's flames are still in my bones, burning with a heat that exists beyond the physical realm, a spiritual fire that sears from within. I can smell the smoke in my hair, acrid and otherworldly, though no earthly fire touched me during those hours of judgment. The scent clings like the memory of burning bridges, of old selves consumed in purifying flame. I can taste ash on my tongue, bitter as regret, though it was not my body that burned in those spirit-flames, it was my soul, stripped bare and cauterized clean.

the voice responded. "Ohhh... so what are you? The soul or the body?" "The soul, of course." "Oh... yeah, right." she blinked. "That was a dumb question to ask." "What do you see in the place where you are?" "Nothing but an iron gate that burns every time I try to touch it. Also, there are several dark burning candles over here." the soul answered. "Why do you keep touching it if it burns?" "That's because I don't have a choice. My voice goes sore sometimes, so banging on the gate is the only option I have left."
